Job DescriptionDescription: Position Title: General Accounting Clerk Reports To: Manager of Accounting FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Job Grade: Grade 2 Pay Range: $22.35- $31.94 per hour Position Overview: The General Accounting Clerk is responsible for performing a variety of accounting and administrative functions to support the finance department. This position includes work related to accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger reconciliations, and other accounting duties as assigned. The role requires accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to complete tasks within established deadlines. Key Responsibilities · Record, verify, and process accounts payable and receivable transactions. · Prepare, review, and post invoices, payments, and expense reports. · Maintain and update vendor and customer files. · Perform monthly reconciliations of bank accounts and general ledger accounts. · Assist with month-end and year-end activities close. · Research and resolve discrepancies related to billing, payments, and account balances. · Generate reports regarding accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activity as requested. · Maintain organized files and accounting records. · Provide administrative support to the finance team, including copying, filing, and document retrieval. · Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications · Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; bachelor’s degree preferred. · Minimum of three (3) years of experience in general accounting, bookkeeping, and accounts payable/receivable. · Experience in the manufacturing industry is highly desired. · Previous experience with payroll processing (especially Paylocity) highly desired. Physical Requirements: · Work is performed in a standard office environment with no significant exposure to adverse environmental conditions. · Must be able to remain in a seated position for extended periods, up to 80% of the work shift. · Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds as needed. Work Schedule: Monday-Friday: 8am-430pm (start and stop time open to negotiation) Compensation: At Cayuga Milk Ingredients, we value a fair and comprehensive approach to compensation.
