I hope you are okay with me telling you a little about our backstory. After graduating PT school... I worked in a few different settings throughout my career, hospital outpatient, acute Care, High Volume Outpatient. In each of them I found that I was seeing too many patients per day, wasn't able to provide the care that I wanted to give each patient, and wasn't making the impact that I dreamed of when becoming a physical therapist. I remember coming home late, and being so frustrated. Almost to the point where I was wondering if PT was really the career for me. Don't get me wrong I learned a ton during those work experiences, but I wanted to be different and make a difference in people's lives. So, I started my own little "Side Hustle", while working all my other jobs. About 12 years ago, I decided to open my own practice with the goal of providing one-on-one care to my patients and really getting to know them and their goals. I wanted to help my patients get back to the activities they love without pain. Since opening our doors, we have been fortunate enough to grow quickly and have amazing team members. We are now looking for another new full-time physical therapist to join our team. Over the past couple years we have been able to help 1000s of local residents. The key "metrics" we pride ourselves on is not patient volume, number of new patients, or gross revenue.... but our customer satisfaction and staff retention rates. Most of our staff has been with us for 3+ years after hire. And for that we are blessed to have such a great team here at Universus PT & Wellness. The ideal candidate must be able to provide one-on-one care to patients and have experience in outpatient orthopedics with an interest in manual therapy, women's health and/or holistic healing.
