Roles and Responsibilities: • Work within a team with varying expertise, influencing internal and external customers for mutually desirable outcomes, • Troubleshoot issues, make recommendations, and ensure problem resolution with the team, • Provide technical support to the sales team in a detailed and timely manner, • Interface with clients and job sites to document customer requirements and conditions, • Provide and document customer designs based on client needs and site conditions, • Collaborate with clients, architects, consultants, and staff throughout the design and delivery process with support from the Supervisor, • Develop Statements of Work based on system design and customer requirements, • Create system design drawings, including audiovisual system diagrams, drawings, sketches, and specifications, • Develop accurate job cost estimates, • Provide technical responses to customer RFPs/RFQs/RFIs, • Maintain complete and accurate project documentation and records, • Communicate effectively with internal staff, clients, cooperative trades, and subcontractors, • Coordinate and manage multiple system design projects, • Ensure successful completion of assignments on time and within budget, • Develop and adhere to company technical standards and practices, • Follow York-VCA policies and procedures, • Participate in transition activities for effective information transfer from pre-sales to implementation teams, • Create and implement test plans for York-VCA and customer lab solutions, • Perform testing in lab environments emulating real-world conditions, • Analyze customer networks to determine visual communication requirements, • Support ad hoc and one-of-a-kind projects, • Collaborate with manufacturers and vendors to identify current and future technologies for clients, • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to recommend solutions for technical issues, • Excellent communication skills, especially in explaining complex technical information and responding to detailed inquiries, • Strong discretion and judgment in handling confidential information, • Proficiency in using computers and MS Suite (Outlook, Project, Excel, Word), • Ability to interface with clients, architects, consultants, and internal staff, • Capable of interpreting multiple formats of technical specifications, schematic drawings, and architectural diagrams, • Strong project coordination and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple system design projects, • Attention to detail in maintaining accurate project documentation and records, • Ability to create detailed Scope of Work documents and system design drawings, • Skilled in developing accurate job cost estimates, • Proficient in video network infrastructure commissioning and support processes, • Knowledge of audiovisual, videoconferencing, and IT products and applications, • Familiarity with video and audio-conferencing service standards, • Demonstrated or potential proficiency in AutoCAD, Visio, or similar diagrammatic software, • Strong presentation skills, especially in presenting technical solutions to executive-level audiences, • Knowledge of York-VCA processes, as well as individual customer procedures, • Ability to work with manufacturers and vendors to evaluate and select technologies for clients, • Willingness to pursue additional training and certifications related to job performance, • Problem-solving skills in analyzing customer networks and resolving visual communication issues, • High levels of professionalism and integrity, • High ability to work with peers, • Exceptional customer service skills, • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, • A degree in a related field such as audio engineering, electrical engineering, or computer science is beneficial but not required, • Certifications in specific AV systems, such as Crestron or AMX, are helpful, • Several years of experience working with audiovisual equipment and systems, • Thorough understanding of AV systems, including design, installation, and troubleshooting, • Experience leading a team of technicians and managing projects, • Proficiency in creating project timelines and budgets, • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work well with clients to understand their needs and provide solutions, • Ability to lift and carry objects up to 50 lbs., • Frequent sitting, standing, and walking, • Limited weekend and/or night work may be required, • Domestic travel requiring multi-night stays within and at times outside the local work area, • Valid passport; International travel possible, • Valid U.S. driver’s license, • Must be willing to complete background checks and drug tests as required by current or future contracts We conform to all the laws, statutes, and regulations concerning equal employment opportunities and affirmative action.
