Reporting to the Network Director of curriculum: Humanities, the Associate Director of 6-12 ELA is responsible for managing the development and implementation of DREAM’s rigorous, vertically-aligned, culturally and historically responsive 6th-12th grade English Language Arts curriculum. This leader collaborates closely with school-based administrators to design and facilitate high-quality professional development, coach leaders and teachers around ELA content and pedagogy, ensure strong curriculum implementation, create assessments, and analyze data to drive continuous improvement. Responsibilities Curriculum, Assessment, and Data * Develop and design a rigorous, vertically-aligned 6-12 ELA curriculum that fosters the achievement of all students, takes a constructivist approach, is culturally and historically responsive, and develops students’ critical consciousness; * Create unit plans, assessments, lesson plans, and instructional materials for grades 6-12 ELA; * Collaborate with the Managing Director of Curriculum and Instruction and other key stakeholders to design a multi-year process for strategic redesign, revision, and codification of the 6-12 ELA curriculum and assessments; * Analyze student data to assess the effectiveness of curricular design and implementation, make necessary short- and long-term revisions, and create network, school, and classroom-level action plans to improve student achievement; * Collaborate with principals, academic deans, and other key stakeholders to regularly analyze assessment data and use it to drive instruction; * Ensure alignment of the 6-12 ELA program with the broader PK-12 literacy vision by partnering with other ELA leaders across the network. Teacher & Leader Development * Design and facilitate high-quality professional development to support teachers and leaders with 6-12 ELA curriculum implementation; * Conduct curriculum implementation and content walkthroughs to support school-based teams in identifying focus areas and action steps for instructional improvement by observing ELA instruction and analyzing student and teacher data; * Regularly observe and provide feedback on Intellectual Prep meetings in order to improve coaching and teacher development practices across schools; * Coach Academic Deans and other instructional leaders to develop their content knowledge, curriculum expertise, and capacity to drive instructional excellence in ELA. Job Description Who We Are Comp Sci High Alternative (CSH_ALT) is a new charter alternative high school program in the South Bronx, enrolling its founding cohort of 35 students and launching in August 2026. We are designed for students who are over-age, under-credited, or returning after disrupted schooling and need a different path to success and graduation. CSH_ALT exists because Comp Sci High’s mission is to give every South Bronx student a path to economic freedom, and traditional high school models do not work for all students in the South Bronx. When students struggle in school, get involved with the juvenile justice system, or lack stable housing, we see this as a system failure, not a student failure. Job Description ABOUT THE ROLE The People’s Theatre (TPT) seeks an experienced Building Superintendent to support the daily operations of our new 20,000-square-foot performing arts center, the Centro Cultural Inmigrante, opening in Inwood in September 2026. This role ensures the building operates safely, efficiently, and reliably for staff, artists, audiences, and community members. The Superintendent oversees day-to-day facilities operations, performs preventative maintenance, responds to urgent issues, and coordinates vendors and city agencies. This is a hands-on leadership role. DREAM (formerly Harlem RBI), an award winning sports-based youth development program, is seeking dynamic individuals to serve as as After School Youth Workers in our elementary (REAL Kids) and middle school (DreamBuilders) programs in East Harlem and the South Bronx. The Youth Worker will lead a group of 18-20 students daily in activities including sports, social-emotional learning, enrichment, and academic support programming. Youth Workers will have the opportunity to participate in professional development training, in addition to receiving regular feedback and support. About The Opportunity As a Middle School Inclusive Learning Teacher with East Harlem Scholars Academies you will be student-facing the majority of the day. You will work alongside a co-teacher and deliver content and instruction together to all students in your class(es). You will collaborate closely with your grade team and the instructional leadership team to internalize, and in some cases develop, curriculum; provide high-quality instruction; track and measure student progress, including managing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) of scholars; create a positive classroom and school culture, and to engage in reflection and continuous improvement. Reporting to the Dean of Student Life, Middle School After School Chess Instructors facilitate engaging and developmentally appropriate chess instruction for students in REAL Kids and DreamBuilders—DREAM’s nationally recognized after school program. Using a provided curriculum, instructors teach foundational and advanced chess strategies while fostering critical thinking, problem-solving, focus, and sportsmanship.
