Location: Staten Island, NY Available Schedules include: Sunday - Thursday 7:00am - 3:00 pm 3:00 pm - 11:00pm 11:00pm - 7:00am Responsibilities: • Be familiar with individual's IPOP, Life Plan, Staff Action Plan, Behavior Plan, etc.in order to understand how care is managed., • Assist individuals with ADL and other independent living skills in accordance with plan documents. This assistance may take the form of full support, partial support or verbal prompting, as well as behavioral interventions as indicated in the behavior management plan. OEPR is responsible for ensuring DOHMH is in a constant state of readiness as well as preparing NYC’s healthcare system to respond to any type of emergency. Duties: • Provide scientific and clinical support for the Office of Emergency Preparedness and Response (OEPR) Bureau of Healthcare and Community Readiness (BHCR) programs and activities, including activities that support the NYC Health Care Coalition and NYC DOHMH Community Preparedness Program., • Participate in DOHMH Incident Command System (ICS) in a leadership role in the Healthcare System Support Branch; support development of emergency response groups during preparedness phase by leading or contributing to planning, training, and exercises in order to ensure prepared and functional incident response., • Lead development of a Pharmacy Preparedness Program to improve pharmacy partnerships and communications before, during and after emergencies., • Support medical countermeasure planning and coordinate with Bureau of Emergency Field Operations and the Bureau of Immunizations to support planning for community partner and healthcare delivery system involvement in emergency vaccination and mass prophylaxis campaigns., • Lead pharmacy GIS and analyses with a focus on mitigating health disparities during public health emergencies by improving access to pharmacy and healthcare services., • Support planning to address corrective actions to strengthen the continuum of care for future pandemics with a focus on care transitions and home/community-based care models, as well as to prepare for other disasters such as severe weather events and power outages., • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher, with active New York State Registered Professional Nurse (or higher) licensure., • Master of Public Health (MPH) or at least 5 years public health experience, • Minimum 2 years previous experience working in public health., • Expertise in epidemiological data analysis including fluency in R or SAS., • Experience with stakeholder engagement and project management., • Excellent communication (verbal & written) and interpersonal skills., • Strong analytical skills and ability to manage and report complex information., • Desire to grow professionally, develop new skills and willingness to work outside of comfort zone., • Experience working with the public health sector and coordinating projects involving multiple stakeholders., • Ability to prioritize and work in fast-paced environment with hard deadlines., • Hybrid Work Schedule., • Generous Paid Time Off and Holidays., • An attractive and comprehensive benefits package including Medical, Dental and Vision., • Flexible Spending Accounts and Commuter Benefits., • Company Paid Life Insurance and Disability Coverage., • 403(b) + employer matching and discretionary company contributions., • College Savings Plan., • This is a temporary grant-funded position ending June 30, 2025., • This individual must reside in the tri-state area (NY, NJ, CT) by their confirmed start date., • Preference may be given to individuals residing in New York City (5 boroughs) or surrounding New York State counties., • This individual will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies.
