This role involves obtaining diagnostic radiographic examinations and performing various clinical and administrative duties with minimal supervision. Key Responsibilities: • Produce diagnostic radiographic examinations by accurately positioning patients, utilizing immobilization devices, and selecting appropriate technical factors based on individual patient needs., • Operate equipment specific to procedures and restrict the radiation beam using cones and collimating devices to ensure safety., • Perform portable x-ray examinations in patient rooms, operating rooms, and emergency rooms as required., • Identify and label patient films correctly with the patient’s name and x-ray number, ensuring proper documentation of images., • Develop exposed x-ray film through standard processing methods., • Maintain orderly x-ray rooms and assist with the preparation of radiopaque contrast media, supporting physicians during procedures., • Handle administrative responsibilities such as scheduling appointments, providing patient instructions, filing films, and maintaining accurate records., • Render assistance to patients, tailoring care based on individual needs, including mobility support., • Lift a minimum of 5 lbs., push and pull at least 10 lbs., and stand for a minimum of 6 hours daily., • Adapt care based on the specific needs of the patient population, ensuring effective communication (considering age, culture, and any disabilities)., • Adhere to the standards of the organization and maintain compliance with competencies required in the medical center. Schedule Details: • 13-week assignment, Monday through Friday with no weekend shifts, • 8-hour shifts with start times based on volume (7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, or 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM) Requirements: • High school diploma or equivalent, • Completion of an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology, • Fulfillment of clinical and A.R.R.T. requirements, • Valid New Jersey State License, • Eligibility to meet the National Registry requirements and pass the examination Preferred Qualifications: • Additional certifications in related specialties are a plus.
