Summary: The ASPCA Animal Hospital (AAH) is designed to provide life-saving care and relieve suffering for animal victims of cruelty and neglect who come to us through internal partners (our own ASPCA adoption center, kitten nursery, and community advocate team) and external partners (NYPD and other NYC organizations). Additionally, we provide subsidized care exclusively for animals whose owners are experiencing financial challenges and could not otherwise afford medical care for their pet. The ASPCA Animal Hospital (AAH) Licensed Veterinary Technicians are passionate, level-headed nurses committed to animals living good lives, and who excel in a fast-paced environment. Our nursing staff collaborates effectively with the entire veterinary medical team to provide high quality, practical veterinary care and deliver skilled, efficient, and compassionate treatment to outpatients and hospitalized patients within hospital medical parameters. Job Description The Diagnostic Imaging and Radiology Service is critical to the lifesaving work we do at the Schwarzman Animal Medical Center, providing timely diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment planning of diseases in companion animals. As a Diagnostic Imaging technician, you'll operate our computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) machines to obtain quality images for our radiologists and other board-certified specialists across the hospital. Job Description Associate Veterinary Technician Reports To: Chief Veterinarian / Practice Manager / Office Manager Position Summary An Associate Veterinary Technician provides support in all aspects of veterinary nursing, including but not limited to anesthesia, surgical nursing, and general practice. This role emphasizes direct patient care, anesthesia monitoring, surgical preparation, dental preparation, and equipment management. Job Description The Perioperative Clinical educator is part of the clinical education team with a primary focus on training OR assistants and LVTs in all phases of perioperative care. The Perioperative educator will focus on mentorship, curriculum development, lecturing, and implementation of an ongoing continuing education program.
