Job Description The Unaccompanied Children Program provides long term and transitional residential care and other supportive services to Unaccompanied Children (UC) who are under legal custody of the Federal Government. Working in collaboration with the federal Office of Refugee Resettlement, ORR, our program provides a safe and nurturing environment for youth in a Basic Shelter program located at our licensed residential facilities as well as a Transitional Foster Care program in foster homes in the Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens and Westchester. In all programs, we provide therapeutic, medical and educational services, as well as other supports that youth need to achieve success through an array of strength-based and targeted interventions as we link them with family members and/or other sponsors in the United States. We want all children we support to move forward with their lives and thrive. About the Role The Clinical Supervisor oversees the clinical services of the UC program. We are seeking a Clinical Supervisor with a license to provide clinical services (i.e.: LMHC or LMSW), and we are invested in supporting their continued professional development by providing clinical supervision towards further clinical licensure. What You’ll Do · Oversee all clinical services provided within the day program including individual/group supervision, mental health assessments, crisis intervention and discharge planning. · Provide direct oversight and facilitate individual and group supervision to the clinicians on caseload. · Review and approve clinical notes in MyEvolv to ensure quality and timely service provision. · Ensure comprehensive assessments are conducted using standardized measures as per standards set forth by Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR). · Provides temporary coverage for clinicians as needed for individual, group therapy and crisis management. · Participate in monthly staff development for clinical team and stays up to date with effective modalities and therapeutic services. · Track compliance and quality assurance for the clinicians on caseload. · Provide clinical insight and guidance to the clinicians on evidence interventions particularly for cases with mental health and/or psychiatric complexities. · Work closely with the Case Managers Supervisors to ensure a safe reunification process for all minors in care and ensure both Case Management and Clinical teams are working in tandem to thoroughly assess and vet children and sponsors. · Oversee timely and accurate data submission for quarterly reports for the clinicians on caseload. · Maintain regular communication with and coordination of services with other members of the multidisciplinary team and stakeholders as needed (ORR, GDIT, LSP, Young Center). · Attend weekly staffing with ORR and GDIT to be up to date with all cases and provide clinical support and guidance to the team as needed. · Conduct outreach and connection to secure additional mental health resources in the community to strengthen and provide external services to the community when needed for specific cases. · Along with the Prevention of Sexual Abuse (PSA) coordinator reinforces the Zero Tolerance Policy, ongoing psychoeducation and ensure a safe environment for all children in care. · Ensure that Child Level Events are thorough and are submitted on a timely manner according to ORR standards. Maintain timely and ongoing communication with ORR DHUC for complex cases and clinical recommendations. · Participate in treatment team meetings and other meetings pertaining to the needs of the children in care. · Complete internal audits to ensure that the clinical records meet the requirements of standards set by OCFS and ORR. · Assist in facilitating training and shadowing for new clinicians. · Maintain confidentiality of sensitive and protected information according to HIPAA standards. · Integrate a collaborative approach with all different departments in the program to ensure clear communication, quality service provision and teamwork to meet the needs of the children in care. · Demonstrate commitment to departmental and organizational goals. · During times of influx, the lead clinician could be temporarily assigned a small caseload if needed to support the program. · Assumption of other duties as assigned. This essential role is responsible for general operations of QSAC Residences and will maintain a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment which fosters growth and facilitates the development of independence and the personal goals for the people receiving services. A Residential Assistant Manager supports and supervises staff as they work with the people receiving services in the residential setting and in the community. The salary range for this position is $41,000-$45,000 annually. Responsibilities Residential Operations • Review residential binders, including general, medical and personal allowances, • Conduct periodic fire drills for safety procedures, • Complete and submit injury reports for individuals, • Maintain individual’s personal allowance accounts, • Coordinate and shop for household items and proper groceries for meal distribution, • Maintain relationships with community and neighbors, • Provides hands-on assistance with Residence and individual care as part of the staff ratio, • Create and orchestrate recreational calendars based on individual preferences, • Maintain adequate supply of medication, and medication administration records for individuals, • Supervise direct care professionals (DSP) staff, • Oversea and report to Director on any employee relations and staff disciplinary concerns, • Schedule DSP staff to support residences, • High school diploma/GED required, • 1-2 years’ experience driving large passenger vehicle required, • 1-2 years’ experience supporting people with intellectual/developmental disabilities required, • A minimum of 1 year supervisory work experience required, • Demonstrates patience and the ability to learn and utilize systematic procedures in order to enhance individual independence and quality of life, • Valid driver’s license and good driving record required for site visits, • Ability to safely assist lifting individuals of various weights & 20 lb. items required, • Clearance through state mandated Background/Fingerprint Check required, • Must be able to communicate effectively with others and individuals served, • Commitment to company values and adherence to policies is expected QSAC is a New York City and Long Island based nonprofit that supports children and adults with autism, together with their families, in achieving greater independence, realizing their future potential, and contributing to their communities in a meaningful way by offering person-centered services.
