Founded in 2002, POM has handled thousands of site installations, primarily focused on large offices, retail, hospitality, health care, education, and real estate (commercial, luxury residential and hi-rise). Roles & Responsibilities The Operations Drafter plays a critical role in supporting the design, engineering, and execution of low-voltage technology projects, including security, audio-visual (AV), and structured cabling. This position is responsible for creating, reviewing, and maintaining accurate technical drawings, schematics, and documentation to ensure that field teams and project managers have the resources needed for successful project delivery. • Drafting & Documentation, • Prepare and update AutoCAD/Revit drawings, riser diagrams, floor plans, and detail sheets for low-voltage systems., • Produce clear, accurate, and compliant as-built drawings at project completion., • Maintain drawing standards, templates, and project documentation libraries., • Project Support, • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and technicians to translate design concepts and field markups into precise drawings., • Ensure that drafting deliverables align with client requirements, codes, and industry standards., • Coordination & Communication, • Interface with internal teams (sales, estimating, operations, and field staff) to ensure drawing accuracy and consistency., • Assist in preparing drawing packages for client submittals and permit applications., • Quality Control, • Review and verify design documents for accuracy and completeness., • Track and implement revisions based on redlines, RFIs, and field feedback. Desired Skills and Experience • 3+ years experience drafting low-voltage systems, • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in drafting, engineering technology or related field (preferred), • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit., • Strong understanding of building construction documents and industry symbols/standards., • Ability to manage multiple projects to meet deadlines., • Excellent communication and writing skills Does this sound like you?
