This position plays an important role in maintaining the atmosphere, professionalism, and operational excellence of the Club’s bar and lounge operations. Bartenders are responsible for delivering attentive and personalized service while maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and presentation of all bar areas. Working closely with fellow Food & Beverage team members and management, the Bartender contributes to the elevated Member experience that defines Burning Tree Country Club through professionalism, consistency, teamwork, and hospitality. You: • Maintain a polished and professional demeanor during all service periods, • Communicate clearly and respectfully with Members and team members, • Work efficiently while maintaining strong attention to detail, • Take initiative and anticipate guest needs proactively, • Support team success through collaboration and accountability, • Take pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organizationThe Essentials (Core Responsibilities)Beverage Service & Hospitality, • Prepare and serve cocktails, wine, bottled and draft beer, and specialty beverages according to Club standards, • Maintain strong knowledge of all food, wine, beer, liquor, and cocktail offerings, • Provide attentive, professional, and personalized service to Members and guests, • Take food and beverage orders accurately and process member charges properly, • Learn and recognize Members’ names and beverage preferences whenever possible, • Monitor guest experience and respond promptly to requests or concernsBar Operations & Preparation, • Prepare and set up the bar daily based on operational needs and anticipated business levels, • Restock liquor, wine, beer, mixers, garnishes, ice, glassware, and related supplies throughout service, • Polish glassware, utensils, and bar equipment, • Maintain cleanliness and organization of all bar and lounge areas, • Support smooth execution of Club events and private functions, • Assist with inventory organization and beverage stocking proceduresTeamwork & Communication, • Work collaboratively with servers, runners, managers, and kitchen staff, • Communicate operational needs, guest requests, and service concerns effectively, • Support teammates proactively during busy service periods, • Answer phone calls professionally and courteously when necessarySafety & Compliance, • Verify legal drinking age requirements when appropriate, • Monitor alcohol consumption responsibly and escalate concerns to management, • Maintain sanitary and safe working conditions, • Follow all Club policies, beverage standards, and health regulationsThe Expectations (Performance & Service Standards), • Maintain a courteous, polished, and professional demeanor at all times, • Demonstrate urgency, attentiveness, and consistency during service, • Report to work punctually and in complete, clean uniform, • Maintain composure and professionalism during high-volume periods, • Always assist the team proactively and support operational flow, • Communicate effectively with management and fellow team members, • Contribute positively to team culture and Member experience, • Follow all Club policies, procedures, and service standards, • Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked work areas throughout each shiftThe Standards (Qualifications & Professional Conduct)Education & Experience, • Previous bartending experience in a private club, luxury hospitality, restaurant, or fine dining environment preferred, • Experience with cocktails, wine, beer, and beverage preparation required, • Equivalent combination of hospitality experience and training consideredSkills & Competencies, • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, • Friendly, polished, and customer-focused demeanor, • Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment, • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, • Basic computer and POS system knowledge preferred, • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions professionally, • Outgoing, warm, and positive attitudePhysical Requirements, • Stand and walk for extended periods, • Use hands to handle objects, glassware, and bar equipment, • Reach, bend, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch as needed, • Lift up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 25 pounds occasionally
