SPORTIME currently offers 192 indoor and outdoor tennis courts and 131 pickleball courts, as well as rinks, turf, camps, gyms and more, at sites across Long Island, in NYC, in Westchester and in the NY Capital Region. LOCATIONS: SPORTIME Bethpage, Roslyn and Syosset clubs JOB SUMMARY: The maintenance assistant will perform all of the necessary janitorial and maintenance tasks inside the club house, offices, and locker rooms. The maintenance assistant is also responsible for the daily cleaning and maintaining of the tennis courts. This position also involves all outdoor maintenance of the grounds and surrounding area to the facility. Additional duties may be assigned as they develop. This role safely loads and unloads materials, documents transactions, and maintains a clean and organized work area while collaborating with team members to support continuous improvement and a safe manufacturing environment. Responsibilities • Receive incoming parts and materials and place them in designated areas while maintaining accurate physical counts., • Perform periodic cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy and support inventory control processes., • Load and unload materials from delivery trucks and move them throughout the plant to various locations as needed., • Communicate promptly with the Inventory Manager or designated contact when inventory or material issues arise., • Continuously look for ways to improve floor space usage and material flow within the facility., • Properly document all work order travelers and related paperwork to ensure accurate records of material movement., • Support and participate in continuous improvement efforts within the department and facility., • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times., • Complete assigned work within the given timeframe and according to established specifications and procedures., • Cooperate with other employees in the department to maintain a safe and productive working environment., • Adhere to all company safety regulations, guidelines, and best practices., • Operate material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts, safely and efficiently., • Pick, pack, and prepare materials and products for internal use or shipment as required., • Use RF scanners or similar devices to track inventory and material movements when needed., • Perform other duties as assigned to support warehouse, shipping, and manufacturing operations.Essential Skills, • Material handling experience in a warehouse, stocking, or manufacturing environment is preferred., • Ability to safely operate a motorized forklift, including sit-down forklifts, is required., • Ability to push a cart or pallet jack with loads of up to several hundred pounds is required., • Capability to lift up to 50 pounds safely is required., • Ability to count and measure accurately to support inventory and production needs., • Understanding of inventory transactions within a production or manufacturing environment is preferred., • Ability to work with minimal supervision and stay productive throughout the shift is required., • Ability to arrive promptly for shift and stand and/or walk for the duration of the shift., • Ability to read, hear, speak, kneel, bend, and safely use a step ladder or stool., • Capability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures., • Energetic, team-oriented attitude with a focus on collaboration and safety., • Ability to work overtime when required to meet production and shipping demands.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred., • Previous warehouse, stocking, shipping, or inventory experience is preferred., • Experience using RF scanners or similar inventory tracking technology is beneficial., • Experience with picking and packing materials or products is an asset., • Familiarity with pallet jacks and other basic material handling equipment is helpful., • Comfort working in a fast-paced manufacturing or production setting., • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and inventory counts.Why Work Here?
