Job DescriptionJob Title: Construction Project Manager / Site Superintendent Job Description This role leads multiple high-end residential and commercial construction projects from concept through final delivery, with an immediate focus on serving as a strong site superintendent for a complex $4 million ground-up residential project. The position oversees all phases of construction, coordinates trades and stakeholders, and ensures projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest standards of craftsmanship and professionalism. Responsibilities • Manage multiple construction projects simultaneously from initial concept, estimating, and preconstruction through final delivery, punch list, and closeout., • Oversee project budgets, forecasts, and cost controls to ensure profitability and financial performance on each project., • Develop, maintain, and manage detailed project schedules, including sequencing of work, milestones, and critical path activities., • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, inspectors, and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle., • Lead project planning meetings, preconstruction conferences, and regular progress update meetings with internal teams and external partners., • Coordinate and supervise on-site construction activities as a site superintendent, ensuring all trades work safely, efficiently, and in alignment with plans and specifications., • Review drawings, specifications, and scopes of work to identify risks, constructability issues, and cost-saving or value-engineering opportunities., • Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, inspection requirements, and company quality standards on all job sites., • Coordinate procurement and delivery of materials, equipment, subcontractors, and long-lead items to support uninterrupted project progress., • Manage and administer contracts, change orders, and related documentation to accurately capture scope changes and maintain project margins., • Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, logs, and billing schedules., • Mentor and support Project Managers, Superintendents, and field staff by providing guidance, feedback, and leadership on best practices., • Collaborate closely with design teams on design-build projects to align construction methods with design intent and budget constraints., • Ensure job sites remain safe, clean, organized, and professional, reflecting the company’s reputation for quality and craftsmanship., • Coordinate all trades for complex residential and commercial projects, including managing demanding architectural requirements and intricate details.Essential Skills, • At least 8 years of experience in construction project management., • Proven background managing residential and/or commercial construction projects., • Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, including sequencing and scheduling of trades and activities., • Demonstrated expertise in project budgeting, forecasting, and cost-control practices., • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and maintain strong, professional client relationships., • Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office applications., • Experience working as a general contractor or in a similar capacity overseeing subcontractors and field operations., • Strong skills in subcontractor management, including selection, coordination, and performance oversight., • Experience with project scheduling, including development and maintenance of detailed construction schedules., • Proven ability to supervise construction activities in the field, including ground-up and complex residential projects., • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to and between job sites as needed.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Design-build project experience, including collaboration with architects and engineers during preconstruction and construction., • Construction experience in the Hudson Valley or New York State, with familiarity with local codes and inspection requirements., • OSHA certification or similar safety-related training., • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field., • Experience with custom homes, luxury renovations, and high-end residential construction., • Experience with residential additions, full-scale remodels, and tenant fit-outs., • background in commercial construction, including ground-up projects and interior build-outs., • Experience with renovation and restoration projects that require careful coordination and attention to detail., • Demonstrated ability to coordinate all trades on complex projects with demanding architectural requirements., • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions in the field.Work Environment The company operates as a full-service design-build contractor serving residential and commercial clients throughout the Hudson Valley and has been in continuous operation since 1994. You will use construction management software and Microsoft Office tools for planning, documentation, and reporting. The role involves regular visits to job sites, coordination with multiple trades, and interaction with clients and design teams. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Fishkill, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $160000.00/hr.
