Job Description Maintenance Planner (Direct Hire) Pay: $27–$31 per hour (DOE) Schedule: Must be available for weekends and extended hours as needed We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Maintenance Planner for a direct hire opportunity. This role is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating maintenance activities to ensure efficient plant operations using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Job Purpose Creates, plans, schedules, and coordinates corrective, preventive, reactive, and project maintenance activities using CMMS as a primary tool. Key Responsibilities • Develop scope of work (SOW) and schedule maintenance tasks or contractors based on production demand, workforce availability, and parts inventory, • Inspect work locations and equipment to determine required maintenance, • Ensure work is executed properly, on time, and within budget, • Collaborate closely with Maintenance Supervisors and Managers, • Inspect completed work and create punch lists as needed, • Coordinate PM schedules and conduct planning meetings with operations, production, maintenance, engineering, contractors, and vendors, • Recommend improvements to preventive and predictive maintenance programs, • Identify and communicate critical maintenance issues for capital planning, • Assist in maintenance parts inventory planning and stock level recommendations, • Support training needs, tools, equipment specifications, and maintenance standards, • Generate reports and analyze maintenance data using CMMS, • Work with Purchasing to ensure parts are ordered and available, • Follow all plant environmental and safety policies, • Communicate machine issues immediately to Maintenance Supervisors, • Perform other related duties as assigned Qualifications • Experience planning and scheduling maintenance work, • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and piping & instrumentation diagrams, • Strong estimating skills (materials, labor, equipment costs), • Experience coordinating multiple trades and contractors, • Strong follow-up, documentation, and analytical skills, • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, • Strong leadership skills and self-motivation, • Ability to prioritize and adapt in a fast-paced environment, • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), • CMMS experience required Working Conditions • Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts, • Occasional exposure to humid or wet conditions, • Moderate noise environment Physical Requirements • Frequent lifting up to 30 pounds, • Frequent standing, walking, sitting, reaching, climbing, or balancing, • Regular talking and hearing If you are an organized, proactive maintenance professional looking for a direct hire opportunity with competitive pay, we encourage you to apply today.
