Job Description Job Title: CNC Laser Operator Job Description We are seeking a skilled CNC Laser Operator to join our dynamic team. This role involves setting up and operating CNC lasers, performing material handling functions, and ensuring the quality and accuracy of manufactured parts. Responsibilities • Set up and operate the CNC Laser., • Review manufactured drawings for accuracy., • Perform material handling functions, including loading materials for job runs., • Measure completed work pieces to verify conformance to specifications., • Ensure the laser machine and accessories equipment are operating correctly., • Read work orders to determine specifications such as materials, cutting lines, dimensions, and tolerances., • Maintain the shop, tools, and other equipment in good condition., • Sort and finish cut parts by removing tabs and burrs., • Accurately count, tag, and route parts to the next operation., • Record work order data into the manufacturing system., • Perform routine maintenance on the laser equipment., • Maintain a clean and organized work environment., • 1-2 years of CNC Laser experience in sheet metal manufacturing., • Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpreting diagrams., • Familiarity with database, recordkeeping, and work order management software., • Ability to troubleshoot operating errors., • Capability to work with minimal supervision and manage time effectively., • Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills. Work Environment Work in an open shop environment specializing in large diesel truck bodies for municipal clients, including garbage trucks and large industrial loaders. The team consists of approximately 25 welders working in designated areas focused on body fabrication and installations. The standard shift is 5:00 am to 3:30 pm, with occasional opportunities for overtime on Fridays. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fresno, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
