Job Description Our client, a prominent regional AAA affiliate, is looking for a skilled Travel Services Manager to direct their travel operations in Albany, New York. Primary Duties • Lead the implementation and integration of new booking software systems, ensuring smooth transition and staff adoption, • Drive revenue growth through effective sales strategies and commission optimization, • Develop and maintain relationships with travel suppliers, vendors, and industry partners, • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of travel agents, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement, • Collaborate with leadership on strategic planning and business development initiatives, • Prepare reports on sales performance, operational metrics, and market trends, • Monitor and evaluate staff performance, providing coaching and support to achieve individual and team goals, • Handle complex client inquiries and resolve escalated customer service issues, • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and quality standards, • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, • Minimum 3-5 years of professional travel industry experience, • Ability to adapt to new technologies and software platforms, • Demonstrated proficiency with travel booking systems and reservation platforms, • Outstanding customer service orientation with problem-solving capabilities, • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems, • Proven leadership abilities with experience managing and motivating teams, • Strong knowledge of domestic and international travel products, destinations, and industry trends, • Previous supervisory or management experience in a travel agency or related hospitality environment, • Excellent organizational and time management skillsDesired Criteria, • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Tourism Management, Business Administration, or related field, • Established network within the travel industry, • Certified Travel Associate (CTA) or Certified Travel Counselor (CTC) designation, • Experience with AAA travel services or membership-based organizations, • Base Salary: $75,000 - $80,000 annually, • Commission: Additional commission opportunities based on performance, • Comprehensive benefits package, • Paid time off and holidays, • Professional development opportunities Equal Employment Opportunity and Non-Discrimination Policy Equal Employment Opportunity Statement: Both Keller Executive Search and our clients are Equal Opportunity Employers.
