We're seeking a passionate and joyful homeschool teacher to lead a dynamic learning experience for two children, ages 5 and 6. This unique, bi-coastal role offers the opportunity to provide a seamless and enriching educational journey across New York City, the Hamptons, and California. The academic year will commence in the NYC area (combination of NYC & Hamptons) for September, transitioning to California from October through March. The final months, April through mid-June, will be spent in NYC. This position includes generous paid time off, as well as comprehensive housing and travel expenses. **Another option: We are also open to a co-teaching position where there is a CA-based teacher and a NY-based teacher working together to provide instruction throughout the year for the two students. Responsibilities: - Deliver engaging, individualized instruction for two elementary children - Collaborate closely and consistently with team to ensure curriculum alignment, share progress, and maintain a cohesive learning experience across both locations. - Integrate learning trips and excursions into the curriculum, with opportunities to participate in these enriching experiences throughout the year. - Cultivate a love of learning and bring a positive, energetic presence to the children's home education. Qualifications: - At least 5+ years of experience directly teaching early childhood or elementary-aged students - Bachelor's Degree in Education required (Master's Degree preferred) - A genuine passion for working with young children and fostering a positive learning environment. - Demonstrated ability to teach effectively and adapt to individual learning styles. - Strong collaborative and communication skills. - Experience in homeschooling or private education is a plus, but not required. We prioritize finding the right fit and an effective teacher over formal credentials. - Flexibility & passion for traveling Compensation & Benefits: - Competitive salary and paid time off. - All travel expenses, supplies, materials, and meals are covered. - Private housing provided in both NYC and California.
