Job DescriptionJob Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist Location: North Bergen, New Jersey (07047) Schedule: Day Shift – 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM Duration: 14 Weeks / Contract Hours: 40 hours/week (8 hours/day, 5 days/week) Weekend/Holiday/On-Call: None Job Summary A healthcare facility is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures in a fast-paced hospital setting. The role involves working with advanced imaging technology, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining compliance with all regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities • Operate nuclear medicine equipment and perform diagnostic imaging procedures, • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with safety protocols, • Perform radionuclide imaging, organ function studies, and assist with therapeutic procedures, • Ensure proper patient identification and image quality using PACS systems, • Provide radiation protection for patients, self, and staff, • Prepare radioactive tracer compounds and calibrate equipment, • Receive, inspect, and manage radiopharmaceutical materials per regulatory guidelines, • Maintain accurate records of radioactive material usage, storage, and disposal, • Ensure cleanliness and contamination-free work environment, • Rotate through assignments such as Cardiology and PET/CT as needed, • Perform clerical duties including scheduling, documentation, and system updates (e.g., EMR systems), • Communicate effectively with patients and caregivers, adapting to individual needs, • Adhere to organizational policies, safety standards, and professional conduct guidelinesRequired Skills & Experience, • Minimum 1 year of clinical experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in a hospital setting, • Strong knowledge of nuclear medicine procedures, safety standards, and imaging systems, • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment, • Excellent communication and patient care skillsEducation Requirements, • High School Diploma or equivalent, • Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology programCertifications & Licensure, • Valid state license (NJDEP or equivalent), • ARRT (Nuclear Medicine) or NMTCB certification required, • BLS certification (American Heart Association) requiredAdditional Information, • No weekend, holiday, or on-call requirements, • Standard day shift schedule About Navitas Healthcare, LLC: It is a certified WBENC and one of the fastest-growing healthcare staffing firms in the US providing Medical, Clinical and Non-Clinical services to numerous hospitals.
