In this vital role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality food items, assisting in menu planning, and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment. Your culinary expertise and attention to detail will contribute to delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests. Duties Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to standardized recipes and menu specifications Execute food preparation tasks including chopping, slicing, dicing, and portioning ingredients with precision using proper knife skills and slicing techniques Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, stoves, mixers, and food processors Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen appliances in compliance with food safety standards Assist with meal assembly, plating, and presentation to ensure visual appeal and quality standards are met Support menu planning efforts by providing input on ingredient availability and preparation methods Follow all safety protocols related to food handling, sanitation, and workplace safety standards in production environments Skills Proven experience in food industry roles such as restaurant or catering environments with a focus on food preparation and cooking Strong knowledge of dietary department procedures and dietary aide experience is a plus Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team Demonstrated ability to adhere strictly to recipes, portion sizes, and food safety guidelines Familiarity with operating various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently Knowledge of food safety management practices including proper handling, storage, and sanitation procedures Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Experience with menu planning, meal prep, and catering operations is highly desirable Join us in creating memorable culinary experiences!
