The Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Columbia University Medical Center seeks to fill multiple clinical faculty positions for child and adolescent psychologists at the Instructor and Assistant Professor level. For all positions, responsibilities will include providing direct patient care, including assessment and psychotherapy, and teaching and supervision of trainees. Clinical work will consist mostly of providing comprehensive psychological care to children and adolescents in outpatient, emergency, or inpatient consultation settings. The setting requires flexibility, consultative skills, and active collaboration with other providers and team members. Working collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team with strong interpersonal and communication skills is important. Candidates will have opportunities to attend case conferences, peer supervision, and Grand Rounds at CUIMC. Candidates will work closely with a clinical team, including other psychologists, as well as psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse-practitioners. The Clinical Support team works with CPS Teams and/or directly with impacted families to ensure optimal service delivery. The team assists with family engagement approaches, with assessing/screening for the most pressing needs, and with identifying and facilitating connections to relevant resources. POSITION SUMMARY: The Director of Clinical Services is responsible for general oversight and administration of all aspects of programming and will report to the Vice President. The qualified candidate will provide leadership, direction and support to the program’s supervisory staff and their respective clinical teams. The Program Director must possess previous experience in providing services to IPV families and families with substance use disorder histories. The Program Director is responsible for ensuring all the requirements of the program regulations are met, that staff are recruited, trained and properly supervised. Job Description About the Program In this new Clinical Support Program, Rising Ground will embed licensed professionals specializing in mental health, substance misuse, and intimate partner violence directly into child protective work in Brooklyn. These clinicians will collaborate closely with ACS staff and families to assess needs, provide tailored service recommendations, and ensure families are connected to appropriate supports. By integrating clinical expertise into frontline decision-making, Rising Ground will play a vital role in enhancing child safety and strengthening family outcomes across the borough. About the Role The full-time Clinical Supervisor is responsible for overseeing a team of licensed clinicians specializing in mental health, substance misuse, and intimate partner violence. The Supervisor provides direct clinical services and clinical guidance, training, and support for their clinical team along with a Child Protective Services team. This position is remote work eligible in accordance with Rising Ground’s Remote Work Policy and requires regular in-person presence at an ACS field office in Brooklyn or in the community as needed. Occasional travel to other agency sites or meetings may also be required.
