The Role The Special Initiatives Director will report to the Deputy Chief of Program Operations and lead the planning, launch, and management of new strategic initiatives at Anthos|Home. This role requires fluency in both Spanish and English (written and verbal), as the Director will engage a diverse set of partners, stakeholders, and communities across New York City. As the organization grows and identifies new opportunities to expand its impact or demonstrate program efficacy, the Director will develop and implement relevant programs. They will help transform new concepts into operational programs by managing program design, coordinating across internal teams and external partners, building stakeholder engagement structures, developing program materials, and ensuring that data collection and evaluation are in place to measure outcomes. The Director may transition between initiatives as organizational priorities evolve. The first initiative the Director will lead is agroundbreaking pilot program, conductedin partnership with a group of high-need schools,thathelpsstudents in need of housingmoveinto permanent homes.This role requires close coordination across Anthos|Home teams, school support partners, shelter providers, community stakeholders, and funders. The Director's responsibilitieswillincludestanding up the infrastructure of the program, communicating thepilot'smodel and impacttoexternal partners and stakeholders, and ensuring data collection and reporting protocols. Key Responsibilities The first initiative the Special Initiatives Program Director will lead isAnthos|Home'sschool-based housing pilot. Program Design and Operation: School Pilot • Manage the overall setup, launch, and day-to-day operations of the school pilot program., • Develop and implement processes and workflows for program referrals and ongoing communication and coordination between Anthos|Home and designated schools., • Create andmaintaina detailed project plan with milestones, timelines, and deliverablesfor each phase of the pilot., • Developclear, accessiblecommunicationmaterialsfor partners,stakeholders, and external audiences about theinitiative, its processes, and its impact., • Present to partners, stakeholders, and internal and external partners about theinitiative, its processes, and its impact., • Manageinternal communicationsand reporting ontheinitiative, including updates for Anthos|Home leadership, board, andstaff. Program PartnerCoordinationand Collaboration, • Serve as the primary point of contact betweenAnthos|Homestaff, community-based organizations, and other external partners (such as school support staff) throughout the initiative., • Facilitate regular check-ins and communicationbetween Anthos|Homeand relevantpartners(such as school support staff)to support household engagement and follow-through., • Coordinate withAnthos|Home'sTenant Coordination, Housing Acquisition, Operations and Aftercare teams to ensure seamless service delivery forinitiative participants., • Coordinate withthe Anthos|HomeDevelopment team to aligninitiativeactivities withfunder requirements and reporting timelines., • Potentially: Design and manage an initiativeadvisory committee composed of community members, school support partners, and other relevant stakeholders. Data, Reporting, and Evaluation, • Work with the Data and Evaluation team toestablishdata collection systems, key metrics, and reporting frameworks for theinitiative., • Collaborate with program teams to maintainaccurateand up-to-date program data in Salesforce for performance tracking and reporting. Additional, • Carry out other related duties as assigned in support ofinitiativegoals, team operations, and organizational priorities. QualificationsRequired Qualifications • Bachelor's degree andat least fiveyears of relevant experience in program management, project management, or a related role in the housingorhuman services sector., • 2-3 years of relevant experience in education, New York City-based preferred., • Flexible schedule and ability to work evenings or weekendsto accommodate school and family schedules., • Bilingual in English/Spanish, • Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional projects involving multiple stakeholders and organizations., • Strong organizational, planning, and project management skills witha track recordof meeting deadlines and managing complex workstreams., • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience developing program materials andpublic-facingdocuments., • Experience working with or alongside government agencies, school systems,andsocial service organizations. Preferred Qualifications, • Master's degree in education, publicpolicyora relatedfield., • Experience working in or with NYC public schools, the NYC shelter system, or the NYC housing voucher process., • Familiarity with NYC Public Schools, Department of Homeless Services, or related agencies., • Experience working with or collaborating with community organizations in the Bronx., • Experienceestablishingand managing advisory committees or community engagement processes. Lived experience related to housing instability is welcomed and valued.Required Skills & Attributes, • Proficiencyin MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.Proficiencyin Salesforce., • Significant experiencewith data tracking and analysis, technological integration, andAI tools., • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust with diverse stakeholders., • Passion for the mission of Anthos|Home and the ability to work in a diverse environment.
