Position Overview: We are seeking a Staff Educator to join our team at Fulton Commons Care Center. In this role, you will play a critical part in staff development, clinical education, and infection control. You will be responsible for developing and implementing evidence-based educational programs that promote the ongoing professional growth of our nursing team while maintaining infection control protocols that ensure the safety of our residents and staff. Key Responsibilities: * Develop and implement evidence-based, quality education programs to enhance staff competency and the delivery of high-quality clinical services. * Collaborate with management, staff, and external partners to assess, integrate, and evaluate educational needs and resources. * Develop, review, and update training manuals, policies/procedures, job aides, and clinical pathways. * Educate staff on clinical policies, criteria, and procedures to ensure compliance and best practices. * Conduct new staff orientation to ensure smooth integration of new hires. * Conduct quality review audits of the clinical team and strategic partners to ensure that company protocols and standards are being met. Requirements: * New York State RN License required. * Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare or a related field. * 3+ years of clinical experience as a registered nurse preferred. * Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills. * Ability to foster a positive learning environment and ensure staff compliance with healthcare standards. Job Description Pay: $50.00 – $55.00 per hour Location: Plainview, NY 11803 Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Job Type: Contract (Full-time preferred; part-time considered) Referral Program Available Registered Nurse (RN) Educator – OPWDD Experience Required We are seeking an experienced RN Educator with a strong background in OPWDD (Office for People With Developmental Disabilities) to join our team. This role involves training staff on a variety of clinical and health-related topics to ensure compliance, safety, and quality of care within our programs. Primary Duties & Responsibilities: * Train and certify staff in AMAP and conduct AMAP Recertification Training. * Provide education on: * Infection Control * First Aid & Seizure Management * CPR * Bloodborne Pathogen Education * PPD (Mantoux) Administration & Reading * Diabetes Management (OPWDD) * Tube Feeding & Colostomy Care (OPWDD compliant) * Assist with curriculum development and updates in line with OPWDD regulations. * Conduct on-site, field-based training at various program locations. * Must be willing to work evenings/weekends and travel locally as needed.
