At Adams Clinical, you'll find: • A culture of respect, transparency, and continuous improvement, • Opportunities for professional growth and learning Job Role The Cook is responsible for preparing and serving nutritious, well-balanced meals in accordance with approved menus, physician orders, dietary guidelines, and all applicable food safety regulations. This position plays a key role in supporting the health and recovery of residents in an inpatient setting by ensuring meals are prepared safely, on schedule, and in full compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities • Prepare meals and snacks following approved menus and standardized recipes., • Ensure all meals meet dietary requirements, including therapeutic and modified diets., • Maintain proper portion control and high standards of food presentation., • Adhere to all food safety and sanitation practices, including safe handling, storage, and temperature monitoring., • Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and food preparation areas., • Monitor inventory and communicate supply needs to management., • Receive, inspect, and properly store food and kitchen supplies., • Label, date, and rotate all food items according to facility policy., • Collaborate with dietary staff and other departments to ensure timely and accurate meal service., • Follow all health department regulations and facility policies and procedures., • Meals are prepared and delivered consistently on schedule, demonstrating strong timemanagement and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively., • Food is prepared with precision and care, with strict adherence to dietary restrictions, safety protocols, and presentation standards., • Interactions with residents, staff, and visitors are professional, respectful, and confidential, contributing to a positive and supportive healthcare environment., • High school diploma or equivalent preferred., • Previous experience in a healthcare, institutional, or commercial kitchen preferred., • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food-handling standards., • Valid Food Handler's Permit or ServSafe certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)., • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately., • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment., • CPR/BLS certification required.
