The (Senior) Medical Director (MD) - will provide strategic leadership to develop Clinical Development Plan (CDP), working closely with partners in Pre-Clinical, Regulatory, Safety, Stats, & Project Management. Core responsibilities will encompass developing & implementing the Clinical Development Plan and providing leadership to new product development from IND to submission. In addition, the position will ensure program consistency & alignment across studies, working closely with cross functional teams for achieving project goals, within timelines & with high quality. The Director/Senior Director, Product Safety and Pharmacovigilance is a highly scientific and mid-level leadership role that requires medical and safety expertise as the Product Safety and Pharmacovigilance representative on the product clinical development team. In addition, he/she manages and conducts ongoing safety surveillance for assigned products. Also, oversees the preparation of NDA safety updates, IND safety reports, investigator communications, product labeling/package inserts and other periodic safety reports as necessary. Additionally, he/she collaborates with cross-functional groups and other regional safety counterparts to update them on medical assessment, safety signal detection, and risk management practices in the US and international markets. Provides timely and accurate reviews of promotional materials in accordance with established policies and practice standards, including regulatory guidelines to meet customer needs., • Evaluate literature, interpret data, write effectively, articulate information to a variety of internal and external audiences and effectively negotiate with counterparts from cross-divisional functional areas, • Maintain understanding of product knowledge and labeling, associated disease states, relevant literature, treatment guidelines, competitor information, • Evaluate risk and elevate as appropriate within the therapeutic area to ensure materials are compliant with applicable regulatory standards across all communication channels.Qualifications, • Scientific degree; advanced degree (e.g., MS, PhD, MD/DO, PharmD, NP, MSN) preferred., • 2-3 years of clinical, scientific/research, or industry related experience or equivalent required demonstrating strong leadership competencies and proven team-building skills with ability to lead in a global matrixed environment. Understanding of relevant therapeutic area required., • Basic knowledge of clinical trial design, results and methodology, regulatory and compliance requirements governing development of promotional and non-promotional materials is desirable., • Demonstrated analytical, conceptual and administrative skills.
