Job Description MST Therapist About the Position: You will receive ongoing training in the Multisystemic Therapy (MST) model as you work with families, youth, their communities, and other key members of their ecology to implement MST as designed. Extensive research has proven the effectiveness of MST. MST therapists do whatever it takes, via close collaboration with all involved, to address the needs of adolescents returning from residential placement for mental health, trauma and, in some cases, substance abuse. You will empower families to address challenging and/or problematic behavior and to help youth aged 12 – 17 ½ make life-transforming changes. Treatment progress is made through intensive interventions such as skill building, changing unhelpful family interactions, and increasing social support, to name a few. Location: Bronx, New York and Staten Island, NY Duties & Responsibilities • Provide direct clinical treatment using the MST treatment model and principles. Some principles include leveraging strengths and focusing on the positive, understanding sequences of behavior, and increasing mature behavior., • Conduct a thorough assessment of the client and family: gather information on behaviors of concern and strengths in the family and their ecology to inform conceptualization of the problem behaviors and interactions within the family’s ecological context., • Maintain a caseload of 4 – 5 cases at any given time, meeting with each client twice a week at a minimum, • Comfort working with a diverse community of clients and traveling throughout New York to provide services in the home or community settings, • Knowledge of the types of families in the community, • Continuously work to engage the primary caregiver, family members, supports, and community agency staff (school, outpatient mental health providers, residential case planners and line staff, child welfare, community stakeholders) in change-oriented treatment., • Dedicate time to weekly case planning and evaluation of case progress, with ongoing support from your supervisor and team members., • Complete thorough paperwork in a timely manner including progress notes, weekly case summaries, and treatment plans, • Receive regular training, professional development, supervision, and consultation activities designed to help you acquire extensive clinical skills within the MST treatment model., • Assure, along with fellow clinicians, that clients have access to 24 hours/day, 7 days/week support as needed. Qualifications • Master’s degree in clinical or counseling Psychology, Social Work, or a related subject area required. Eligibility for Professional Licensure in a behavioral health field is required. The MOMS Partnership Clinician is a mental health professional and member of the MOMS Clinical Team who delivers or co-delivers (with the MOMS Community Mental Health Ambassador or CMHA) MOMS programming. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: • Develop, implement, and monitor policies, procedures, and service delivery standards aligned with agency, funder, and regulatory requirements., • Oversee program budgets, contracts, reporting, and compliance requirements., • Ensure the program meets performance goals, quality indicators, and audit standards., • Recruit, train, supervise and evaluate program staff., • Provide regular supervision, coaching and professional development opportunities., • Ensure residents receive comprehensive supportive services that promote independence, safety and housing stability., • Oversee case management, service planning, wellness checks, crisis intervention and referrals to medical, mental health and other community service providers., • Ensure that services are culturally responsive, person-centered and align with best practices., • Work closely with property management to resolve safety issues, unit conditions, and tenancy concerns., • Support housing retention through eviction-prevention strategies, benefits access, and advocacy., • Monitor building environment, coordinate inspections, and ensure compliance with housing standards., • Build and maintain partnerships with healthcare providers, senior centers, HRA, APS, DSS, and community-based organizations., • Represent the program at meetings, community events, and stakeholder convenings., • Strengthen the program’s visibility and integration within the local aging services network., • Ensure accurate, timely documentation in accordance with agency and funder guidelines., • Oversee incident reporting, service plan reviews, assessments, and program records., • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as required., • When necessary, carry a caseload and/or provide coverage. EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, or related field preferred; minimum 3–5 years of experience in supportive housing, working formerly homeless individuals, case management, or related fields, at least 2 years of supervisory or program management experience, strong understanding of public benefits (HRA, Medicaid, SNAP, SSI/SSDI), and community resources. Experience working with individuals with behavioral health needs, cognitive decline, or complex medical conditions. Excellent leadership, communication, crisis management, and organizational skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with property management, government agencies, and community organizations. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills and computer literacy and knowledge of systems. Provide good customer service (both in person and by telephone). Fluency in Spanish is highly desirable. Job Description Assists the Director of Clinical Services with the oversight of all clinical program development throughout all QSAC Day Habilitation and Supplemental Day Programs. This includes but is not limited to clinical oversight of individuals’ ongoing services and staff development. Management of all Behavior Intervention Specialists who are directly responsible for ensuring individual safety, individualized programming and staff supervision. This role requires thorough knowledge of assessment procedures, curriculum development and management of treatment plans to address cognitive, adaptive, communication, social/emotional and physical skills for adults with autism spectrum disorders, intellectual disabilities and psychiatric disorders. Salary - $80,000-$90,000 annually Specific Responsibilities: • Complete required QSAC orientation., • Ensure health, safety & welfare of individuals., • Assist Director in developing monitoring and updating behavioral protocols/procedures for the administration and clinical implementation of services., • Assist Director in developing staff competency training in behavior analysis ensuring quality of care for our individuals., • Assist Behavior Intervention Specialists and Qualified Intellectual Disability Professionals with presenting staff training., • Assist Director with reviewing and providing feedback to the Behavior Intervention Specialists regarding all clinical documentation (SAP, BSP, Goal Data, Monthly Progress Reports)., • Assist the Behavior Intervention Specialists and the Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional with the intake process., • Assist in the recruitment process of Behavior Intervention Specialists., • Oversee that the Behavior Intervention Specialists work collaboratively with CM's, IRA's/ICF's, individual and family advocates in regards to life plan development., • Assist in the monitoring of Behavior Intervention Specialists and Qualified Intellectual Disability Professionals schedules, time management, professional skills and productivity and provide disciplinary action if required., • Assist Director in facilitating monthly behavior meetings with team members (i.e., Program Directors,, • Supervisors, Behavior Intervention Specialists) to review clinical program updates regarding individuals., • Assist Director in facilitating monthly clinical meetings and workshops to review, train and provide Behavior Intervention Specialists and Qualified Intellectual Disability Professionals with current evidence -based practices., • Work collaboratively with Residential Managers/Directors to ensure proper continuity of care., • Set reasonable professional standards and maintain consistency in all facets of care., • Maintain a productive environment that helps each individual and family have a positive experience within, • QSAC's Day Habilitation programs., • Treat all families with dignity and respect; allow for individual differences; provide an atmosphere of acceptance and caring., • Enforce program’s policies on health and safety regulations as well as emergency procedures., • Attend and/or facilitate relevant meetings (i.e., HRC, regulatory, etc.), recommended trainings and conferences., • Maintain an open, friendly, professional relationship with all staff and families.
