INTERNSHIP SUMMARY: Sport Management Interns with an E-sport focus will learn how to promote and operate e-sports leagues & tournaments, camps, clinics, and other special events. They will be immersed in the scheduling, execution, and day-to-day operations of the facility assisting in any of following areas: Events and Operations, FEC (Family Entertainment Center) and Food and Beverage. Overall, Interns will gain valuable experience in the sports and recreation industry focusing on full-service entertainment. INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW: • Interns will be cross trained in multiple areas throughout the facility, such as event management, venue walkthroughs and daily facility operations, • Will complete an internship to gain real-world experience in sports management, Sports Technology, E-sports & Gaming, • Some students may have longer or shorter practicum requirements with less time commitment and commitment length will be addressed individually, • We will develop an intern schedule to accommodate any individual requirements (i.e., class commitments), • Interns may be asked to assist during special events and additional projects that are not related to their specific area, • Learn the history of the continuing-to-evolve e-sports industry - at its amateur and professional level., • Learn the terms and conditions required in videogame content licensing agreements., • Will learn the requirements needed to host various non-sport e-sports leagues as well as the competitions currently operated by traditional sport properties, • Will develop working knowledge of how professional e-sports organizations structure their staffs, including the recruitment and training of the players, • Must be a student majoring in sport management or related field, • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, • Strong desire to learn along with professional drive, • Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently, • Demonstrate success with multi-tasking and organizing multiple priorities, • Must be able to lift 50 pounds waist high, • May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time whether indoors or outdoors, and squat, stoop, bend, carry, lift, pull, and push, • Will be required to operate a computer, • Facility has intermittent noise Job Posted by ApplicantPro
