ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS * Establish and enforce rules for behavior and procedures for maintaining order among the students for whom they are responsible. * Organize, lead, and promote interest in comic book cartoonists. * Organize performance groups and direct their rehearsals. * Establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects, and communicate those objectives to students. * Ascertain and interpret group interests, evaluate equipment and facilities, and adapt activities to meet the student’s needs. * Prepare materials and classrooms for class activities. * Explain principles, techniques, and safety procedures to participants in the activities and demonstrate the use of materials and equipment. * Evaluate activities to determine if they are producing desired results. * Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' needs and interests. * Progressive development of student skills leading to a final project REQUIRED SKILLS * Must be knowledgeable and skilled in a variety of pencilers, inker, colorist, and letterer * Prior experience teaching and instructing youth preferred * Must be able to follow a curriculum * Must be responsible, reliable, and punctual! * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required. * May be required to walk up and down stairs. * May have to lift or move objects/materials as needed. * Work is performed mostly within a New York City Public School but may be required to interact with the community at-large during trips or events. * Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS * High School Diploma or Equivalent required; some college preferred * A minimum of one year of work-related skill, knowledge, or experience is required. * A minimum of one year of teaching experience is required. * Must have passion for New York Edge's mission and demonstrated interest in education and youth development. * Candidates qualified to lead instruction in more than one activity are also preferred. Summary: Under the direct supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Apartment Maintenance Technician is responsible for all aspects of facility maintenance, renovation, and repair. Projecting a customer focused and professional image through interaction with all internal and external customers is essential. The Apartment Maintenance Technician serves in an on-call rotation for maintenance emergencies 24 hours per day, 7 days per week on a rotating basis. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Preventative maintenance on HVAC systems including thermostats, filter changes, belt changes, oil/lubing, cleaning of registers, diffusers, and vents, and small motor changes as scheduled., • Maintain, repair, and replace public area, office, and residential furniture as needed., • Routine boiler maintenance including observance, recording, and reporting of temperatures, gauges, and necessary repairs., • Perform general plumbing repairs including leaks, drains, toilets, sinks, showers, and gaskets., • Perform electrical repairs including but not limited to bulb and ballast replacement, fixtures, sockets, outlets, and GFCIs., • Complete painting and drywall repair/replacement projects as scheduled., • Replace ceiling tiles., • Clean and maintain equipment and tools routinely and as directed by Maintenance Supervisor or designee., • Maintain, clean, and organize storage and Maintenance Shop daily., • Conducts daily general inspections of assigned building. Job Description Jamaica Hospital Medical Center a renowned Queens, New York Community based hospital and Level 1 Treatment Center currently seeks an Oncology Clinical Pharmacy Specialist for an immediate full-time day shift opportunity. Our ideal candidate will have a minimum Board Certification in Oncology (BCOP), with at least 4 years of experience in Oncology management. A PGY 1 Residency and a PGY2 residency in Oncology is preferred, or equal clinical experience in Oncology with BCOP. Selected candidate will provide clinical pharmacy services for inpatient and outpatient hematology/oncology medication management; and be responsible for the management of adult patients receiving ambulatory chemotherapy as well as patients with oncology related admissions. He/she will actively participate in committee work and projects to advance and elevate pharmacy practice and investigational drug services related to oncology studies.
