    Job Summary LXS Homes is growing, and we are looking for dedicated, hardworking, and experienced Movers and Drivers to join our professional relocation and logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely packing, loading, transporting, and unloading furniture, equipment, and household goods for our residential clients. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in the moving industry, strong physical stamina, excellent customer service skills, and—for driver applicants—a clean driving record and experience operating box trucks or commercial moving vehicles. If you take pride in doing a job carefully, efficiently, and with a positive attitude, we want you on our team. Key Responsibilities Safe Transport & Driving: Safely drive and navigate company moving trucks to and from client locations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. * Packing & Wrapping: Properly wrap furniture, appliances, and fragile items using moving blankets, bubble wrap, and packing supplies to prevent damage. * Loading & Unloading: Efficiently load, secure, and unload cargo in moving trucks using proper stacking techniques, dollies, ramps, and straps. * Assembly & Placement: Disassemble and reassemble furniture as needed, and place items in designated rooms according to customer specifications. * Customer Care: Act as the face of LXS Homes by providing courteous, professional, and friendly communication with clients throughout the moving process. * Inspection & Inventory: Complete pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, manage inventory lists, and report any incidents or equipment issues immediately. * Safety Compliance: Follow all company safety policies, practice correct heavy-lifting ergonomics, and keep the work site and truck clean. Qualifications & Requirements Experience: Minimum of [1–2+ years] of proven hands-on experience as a professional mover or truck driver in the moving/logistics industry. Driver Requirements (For Driver Positions): Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (Commercial Driver's License / CDL is a plus, but standard box truck experience is accepted). * Physical Strength: High physical fitness and stamina, with the ability to safely lift and carry heavy items (70+ lbs) repeatedly throughout a full shift. * Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with team members and clients. * Reliability & Professionalism: Punctual, trustworthy, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining a neat appearance. * Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred. Completing preventative maintenance on vehicles, such as performing oil changes, flushing and replacing fluids, and replacing brakes. Generating timelines and estimates for repairs and discussing options with clients. Inspecting internal systems and controls to ensure the vehicle is operating properly and in compliance with state regulations. Maintaining accurate records relating to clients, their vehicles, parts, and service history. Using shop equipment as instructed, performing regular maintenance and repairs as needed. Engaging in learning opportunities to update job knowledge and technical skills. Addition education, certifications, or experience is generally preferred. Proven ability to diagnose and repair vehicles and follow safety instructions and directions. Proficiency with hand tools and other equipment. Excellent active listening, problem-solving, and communication skills. Self-motivated, independent, and reliable with a strong work ethic.
