Description We are seeking a Lead Transmission Line Engineer who will manage a collaborative and dynamic team working in a fast-paced environment, solving challenging problems involved with electric transmission. The successful candidate will serve as a Lead Engineer and Technical Project Manager on high voltage electric transmission line design projects of overhead and underground systems for some of the largest utilities in the country as well as regional utilities. We are seeking candidates at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor on a tenure track. The successful candidate will be appointed in the department within NCE that aligns best with the candidate's expertise, and may hold a joint appointment across multiple departments as appropriate. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a record of outstanding scholarship, experience in research and development of robotic systems, and knowledge and interest in the underlying theory and practice of robotics design. We are also seeking candidates with genuine interest in education, ready and excited about guiding students to develop, build and test robots as part of the students' academic training. The successful candidate is expected to work effectively in a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment both within NCE and across the broader campus.
