The client for this project is the NYS Office of General Services (OGS) in Albany, NY Information Technology Specialist - Design & Construction Team Responsibilities The client for this project is the NYS Office of General Services (OGS) in Albany, NY Information Technology Specialist, Level I -with AutoCAD experience to support the Design & Construction Team • Act as the Design and Construction Technical Representative with ITS., • Interact with D&C staff to understand issues and determine appropriate path for resolution of requests., • Address IT-Related issues that do not require the services of ITS., • Submit appropriate requests on behalf of D&C to ITS via the ticketing management system. To include onboarding and offboarding requests, incident requests, software requests, etc., • Coordinate with requestors to obtain appropriate information, documentation, and approvals., • Monitor progress and status of tickets submitted to ensure appropriate and timely resolution of issues and requests., • Facilitate follow-up communications, as necessary, to ensure completion of requests., • Communicates and coordinates with internal business units and outside agency representatives (e.g., ITS, SFS) necessary for the administration of data systems., • Actively works with the many business units within the D&C to assess IT program needs and requirements., • Identify opportunities and make recommendations to improve system utilization and functionality. Qualifications Requirements • Experience with AutoCAD Computer Aided Design & Drafting applications with the ability to perform daily monitoring and maintenance of software and workstations is required., • Familiarity in all MS Office products Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, • Networking knowledge of LAN/WAN, permissions, shared drives, and VPNs, • Experience providing training and refresher updates and assist users in the performance of their routine drafting tasks., • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills., • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks efficiently.
