    IT Support Technician – Level 1 United Network Associates, Inc. (UNA) is seeking a motivated Level 1 IT Support Technician to join our technical team in Farmingdale, New York. UNA provides managed IT, cybersecurity, cloud, networking, and technical support services to businesses throughout Long Island and the New York metropolitan area. The Position This is a hands-on technical position for someone who enjoys technology, troubleshooting, working with users, and learning new systems. The Level 1 Technician will be part of our Help Desk and technical support team, providing remote and on-site assistance to our clients while working alongside experienced Level 2 and senior engineers. Responsibilities • Respond to incoming Help Desk tickets and technical support requests, • Troubleshoot Windows desktops and laptops, • Support Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and user accounts, • Perform password resets, MFA setup, and basic account administration, • Troubleshoot printers, scanners, peripherals, and common business applications, • Diagnose basic Internet, Wi-Fi, LAN, VPN, DNS, and connectivity problems, • Install and configure computers, software, and peripherals, • Set up new users, computers, email accounts, and Microsoft 365 services, • Perform basic Active Directory and Entra ID administration, • Assist with endpoint security, antivirus, EDR/MDR, patching, and RMM systems, • Provide remote support and occasional on-site client support, • Document problems, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions, • Escalate more complex problems to Level 2 or senior engineers, • Follow established security and technical procedures What We're Looking For We're looking for someone with a solid foundation in technology who wants to build a career in IT. You don't need to know everything. You do need to be curious, dependable, professional, and willing to learn. Basic knowledge or experience with several of the following is preferred: Windows 10/11 • Microsoft 365 • Outlook • Active Directory • Entra ID • TCP/IP • DNS • DHCP • Wi-Fi • VPN • Networking • PC Hardware • Printers • Remote Support • Endpoint Security The Right Candidate • Enjoys troubleshooting technical problems, • Thinks logically rather than simply following a script, • Is comfortable researching something they don't know, • Communicates clearly and professionally with clients, • Has good organizational and documentation skills, • Understands when an issue should be escalated, • Takes responsibility for following a problem through to resolution, • Has a genuine interest in computers, networking, cloud technology, and cybersecurity, • Wants to learn from more experienced engineers and advance technically Experience Approximately 1–2 years of IT support experience is preferred, although candidates with strong technical skills, education, certifications, internships, or substantial hands-on experience will also be considered. CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, Cisco, or cybersecurity certifications are a plus but are not required.     OVERVIEW As a Front Desk Associate, you are the first point of contact for people when they enter the building. Your role requires a flair for hospitality and customer service, providing the best possible experience for customers as you check them in, process credit card and cash payments, and assist with any questions they might have. You will need to handle questions and problem-solve effectively while making guests feel welcome, heard, and valued. YOUR MISSION To assist customers (whether residents, members, or guests) with checking in, booking classes and lessons, making payments, and any other membership or amenity related questions they have, while providing excellent customer service and maintaining the URBN Playground reputation. WHAT YOU’LL DO • Deliver amazing customer service by having a hospitality-focused, customer-first mindset, • Set up / pack down equipment (e.g. cash registers / boxes, devices) at open / close times, • Check members in as they arrive to use the amenities or for classes / lessons, • Assist residents with the URBN Playground app to make their reservations and purchases, • Utilize URBN software to manage reservations and bookings, handle messaging through the app., • Ensure security of cash registers / cash boxes at all times during shift, • Count starting amount of money at the start of shift, • Balance cash at the end of the shift and complete cash drop form, • Process guest passes or current promo codes from periodic marketing campaigns, • Answer phone calls and e-mails and escalate queries as needed, • Supervise other staff on shift as needed (e.g. porters) to ensure amenities run smoothly, • Hold a set of keys and open and lock gates and doors as needed, • Know what events or lessons are going on and be able to answer questions about them, • Liaise with key people (e.g. trainers, event planners, Lifestyle Director, pool operator) to ensure smooth operations of all the above YOU’RE GOOD AT • Getting things done, • Keeping track of many things at once and paying attention to detail, • Remembering customers’ names and making them feel welcome, • Diffusing customer complaints and solving problems, • Working independently with minimal supervision, • Handling phone calls and e-mails in a professional and efficient manner, • Building relationships with customers and key vendors BROWNIE POINTS • Prior experience in a sales-related job, • Prior experience in a hospitality position, • Familiar with property management software
