Job Description Job Overview: As a qualified behavioral specialist provider, your role is to work with schools, educators, and students to improve academic performance, behavioral outcomes, and overall learning environments. Behavioral aspects may include: • Behavioral Assessments, • Developing Behavior Plans, • Training and Workshops, • Data Collection & Analysis, • Crisis Intervention, • Collaboration and Consultation, • Professional Development, • Develop and implement educational plans to address identified needs, • Implement behavior support plans to ensure the successful remediation of problem behavior, • Integrate elements of person-centered planning as part of a coordinated PBS effort, • Provide parent training and skill-building activities at home and in the community, • Minimum of Initial Certification in Education + Talent/Interest in ABA/PBS/SPECIAL EDUCATION, • *LBA preferred, RBT,BCBA, SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHERS are acceptable, • Fingerprint clearance as required by NYSED Communication: • Speak and write clearly and accurately, • Influence and motivate others, • Work collaboratively as a team member, • Exhibit commitment, flexibility, reliability, and support, • Collect information through observation, experience, reflection, and communication, • Analyze, synthesize, and evaluate processes to produce a comprehensive direction, • Demonstrate intellectual curiosity and a fresh perspective on problems, • Achieve a standard of excellence in work processes and outcomes, • Fluently use productivity software, including Google Workspace and practice management software We provide support services to students, families, and schools across Long Island, including Nassau County, Suffolk County, Brooklyn, and Queens.
