Job Description Overview Since inception in 2004, BI Incorporated has operated ISAP for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO). ISAP is an essential part of ERO, providing intensive supervision of individuals in immigration proceedings. The program achieves positive results by combining comprehensive case management with proven supervision technology. In addition, BI maintains an extensive list of community-based partners to provide critical assistance for participants' basic life needs. With consistent positive outcomes, ISAP continues to grow and evolve, serving an ever-increasing number of participants. Responsibilities Summary Provides case management of Intensive Supervision Appearance Program (ISAP) participants from entry to release by administering the program’s policies and procedures as defined by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) contract. Primary Duties and Responsibilities • Develops, implements, coordinates, reviews and updates case management and individual service plans for ISAP participants in conformance with state and federal regulations and program requirements. Meets with participants face-to-face regularly as required by contractual obligations., • Develops and maintains accurate and complete case records for all ISAP participants from entry to release from ISAP. Proactively manages cases using all appropriate tools and techniques. Maintains confidentiality of all records., • Conducts intake interview and orientation session with each ISAP participant within contractual timeframes and requirements., • Installs electronic monitoring equipment on ISAP participants as necessary and monitors compliance with electronic monitoring program., • Assists ISAP participants with acquiring travel documents from the countries of citizenship. Maintains a log of travel document information for each participant., • Evaluates English proficiency of ISAP participants to determine resources necessary to promote clear communication between ISAP staff and participants., • Coordinates and facilitates translation services for ISAP participants, including emergency translation services., • Connects participants with community resources including, but not limited to, transportation, medical, food, shelter, clothing, educational, financial, legal, religious and other social adjustment or facilitative resources. Identifies and coordinates services as required., • Supervises ISAP participants while in Company offices., • Establishes schedules for ISAP participants that include, but are not limited to, counseling sessions, immigration Court appearances, and access to legal services., • Coordinates with participants to ensure attendance at legal orientation and cultural orientation sessions, as well as supplemental services evaluations., • Reviews individual service plans, conducts risk/needs assessments and writes progress reports on a regular basis in compliance with contractual obligations., • Reports on program violations in a timely manner using established reporting parameters., • Conducts home visits to verify participants’ places of residence in compliance with contractual obligations., • Performs emergency counseling for ISAP participants as needed., • Identifies and maintains relationships with translation resources in the community, including private services, volunteers, universities, English as a Second Language (ESL) schools, NGOs, churches, and other organizations that might have resources to offer., • Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum Requirements • Bachelor’s Degree required. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Responsible for the day to day group home operations which include oversight of each resident's health care and well-being, staffing in the home, supplies needed to maintain the operations, maintenance and upkeep of the home, maintenance of essential files and records, etc., • Assigns, instructs, and supervises personnel in the personal care of residents to ensure physical well-being, medical, dental, psycho/social needs, cleanliness, safety., • Plans, organizes and assigns the work of the organizational unit and evaluates employee performance and conduct, enabling the effective recommendation of the hiring, firing, promoting and disciplining of subordinates., • Monitors employee absenteeism and lateness. Reports the same to HR., • Scheduling of staff working hours, to ensure all shifts are covered in accordance with N.J.A.C. 10:44A Regulations and Program Description for the residence. If employee is assigned to a specific resident who requires 1:1 supervision, employee ensures the safety and well-being of that resident while keeping that resident within line of sight and at arm's length at all times. If the staff member needs to leave the resident's side, the staff member will seek out another staff to stay with the resident until the staff member returns. The resident assigned 1:1 supervision will always have staff supervision within line of sight and at arm's length during the hours required., • Employees working on shift with a resident who requires 1:1 supervision, must assist as requested or assigned in relieving or assisting other staff members who are assigned as the 1:1. When working with a resident who requires 1:1 supervision, the employee must keep that resident within line of sight and at arm's length at all times., • Remains on duty until proper coverage for oncoming shift has arrived and is on duty. Failure to remain on shift until proper coverage arrives causes reportable staffing shortages and neglect of resident care., • Keeps emergency exits and walkways free of obstacles, snow, ice, debris, etc., • Communicates with DHS and DDD staff as needed or requested. Job Description Job Description: Direct Support Professional (Day Habilitation) Report to: Day Habilitation Program Supervisor The Direct Support Professional (DSP) is responsible for a variety of duties related to the overall care of individuals with developmental disabilities receiving services from APluscare Behavioral Health programs. This includes but not limited to caring of individuals and maintaining daily level of support, assisting them with their goals and strategies, implementing of individual support plans (ISP) and behavior plans (BP) in addition to promoting individual independence and helping with total integration and inclusion into the community. Direct Support Professionals are required to perform all duties in accordance with the Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) regulations and APluscare Behavioral Health policies and procedures. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES • Administer medications to individuals as prescribed, • Contact the pharmacist for medication refills and script follow ups, • Assist individuals with medical appointments, • Ensures individuals are dressed neatly and appropriately and are always groomed, • Prepares nutritional meals based on individual dietary needs, • Provides transportation to and from activities, as well as the day habilitation program, • Implementation of individual support plan and behavioral support plan goals, • Promotes participation and involvement in community outings, • Ensures all individuals rights are protected, • Treats individuals with dignity and respect, • Report any noted problems to the Program Supervisor immediately and complete an inhouse (APluscare) incident report form, • Ensures that all documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner, • Ensures Medication Administration Record (MAR) entries are completed as required, • Completes communication logbooks during shift and all other duties as assigned, • Attend all required staff meetings and trainings scheduled, • All other duties as assigned by APluscare Shift: Monday - Friday 7:30am - 3:30pm Qualifications: • A minimum of a High school diploma, or GED required, • 6months-1year of experience working with people with developmental disabilities, • Push, pull, and lift up to 50lbs, • Ability to work on holidays, weekends and during inclement weather, • Valid Driver's License, clear driving record and driving Company's vehicle, • Must be at least 18 years of age Trainings: All must successfully complete the mandatory DDD trainings: Overview of Developmental Disabilities, Abuse and Neglect, Medication Administration, CPR & First Aid, Agency New Hire Orientation, Agency's approved training on handling Life-Threatening Emergencies/ Danielle's Law and other professionally based training deemed necessary.
