Job Description Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Ultrasound technician to join our healthcare team in Vascular specialty. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound examinations and providing essential diagnostic information to assist in patient care. This role requires a strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical imaging techniques, with a focus on vascular disease. Responsibilities • Conduct ultrasound examinations, including but not limited to vascular imaging such as lower extremity diagnostic, dialysis access and carotid imaging, • Ensure the safety and comfort of patients during procedures while maintaining a professional demeanor., • Utilize appropriate sonography techniques to obtain accurate diagnostic images., • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to discuss findings and provide comprehensive patient care., • Maintain detailed records of ultrasound procedures, including patient history and examination results., • Proficient in vascular imaging techniques., • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and diagnostic radiology principles., • Expertise in sonography practices with the ability to perform various types of ultrasound examinations., • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and healthcare team members., • Minimum Education: Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS), • Minimum Experience: 1 year; combined education/experience as substitute for minimum experience., • Minimum Skills: Experience with EMR documenting, MS Word, Excel, MS outlook., • Job may require long periods of standing at times., • Must be able to assist patients walking to exam rooms and getting onto exam tables., • This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines., • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to drive to other clinical offices and facility as need. Must have access to car and active driver’s license., • The employee must occasionally assist with lifting and moving patients from exam tables to stretchers., • All major Federal holidays are given.
