Senior OmniPlus Technical Lead The Senior OmniPlus Technical Lead serves as a senior-level subject matter expert responsible for the design, configuration, integration, and ongoing support of the OmniPlus suite of recordkeeping solutions supporting defined contribution retirement plans. This role provides technical leadership, operational oversight, and strategic input across the full system lifecycle, ensuring scalable, compliant, and high-performing solutions aligned with client and regulatory requirements. This position combines deep functional expertise with strong technical capabilities, including core system analysis, custom development, integration design, and production support. The Specialist IV plays a critical role in evaluating system limitations, driving enhancements, and ensuring stability across OmniPlus environments. Core Responsibilities Program & Stakeholder Leadership • Provide clear, consistent project updates to program leadership, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams, • Identify, manage, and escalate risks, issues, scope changes, and dependencies, • Act as a bridge between business, operations, and technical teams to ensure alignment, • Lead end-to-end OmniPlus system setup for new implementations and conversions, • Configure OmniPlus and Plan Services GUI environments based on Conversion Requirements Documents, • Perform plan configuration audits for both new and existing clients, • Execute data mapping, asset posting, and touchpoint validation testing, • Lead and support System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), • Develop, document, and execute detailed test scenarios and validation scripts, • Analyze results, identify defects, and coordinate resolution across teams, • Perform deep analysis of OmniPlus core processing and COBOL-based components, • Conduct root cause analysis for system defects, data discrepancies, and performance issues, • Develop and maintain user exits, custom enhancements, and integration logic, • Review and analyze code to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and potential output issues, • Lead and support deployment of:, • Service Packs, • Tax Releases, • Full OmniPlus Releases, • Coordinate environment upgrades, regression testing, and post-release validation, • Install and validate vendor-provided fixes and patches, • Lead OmniPay implementation, upgrades, and ongoing administration, • Support integration between OmniPlus and external systems (payroll, banking, trading, reporting), • Ensure accurate processing of contributions, distributions, loans, and transfers, • Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues within the Omni environment, • Analyze operational workflows and recommend process and technology improvements, • Optimize performance across batch cycles, transaction processing, and reporting, • Serve as a subject matter expert for year-end processing, including:, • Compliance testing, • IRS/DOL reporting requirements, • 1099-R and tax form processing, • Interpret and apply regulatory rules within OmniPlus configurations, • Deep expertise in OmniPlus (5.x – 7.x), OmniPay, and Plan Services GUI, • Strong understanding of defined contribution plan administration, • Experience with Omni transaction processing (T-codes) and batch operations, • Proficiency in data mapping, conversions, and reconciliation, • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills across mainframe and distributed environments, • Experience with COBOL-based systems and legacy platform modernization concepts, • Ensures stability and scalability of OmniPlus platforms, • Reduces operational risk through deep technical and functional oversight, • Drives efficient conversions, upgrades, and integrations, • Provides strategic insight into platform limitations and modernization opportunities
