Recruiting and/or staffing industry experience is great – but we can train that. Previous experience interviewing (in any capacity) is helpful - but we can train that. A college degree is highly preferred. Most majors work well, but communication, education, liberal arts, psychology, and sociology, tend to do very well. Recruiting is a “client facing” role requiring talking to candidates and getting to know where they have "been", where they "are", and where they want to "be" (professionally speaking). People who have worked in retail, customer service, communications, marketing, and PR tend to do very well. Athletes, bartenders and teachers can also transition nicely. In general, a recruiter has the ability to differentiate between candidates who are not qualified for a role, who may a good fit for a role, or who are AMAZING (we are in the business of AMAZING of course) How are recruiters paid?
