Job Description Come join the team at the newly opened Regent Restaurant & Bar, situated inside the Brookmere Hotel on the outskirts of Saratoga Springs. We are currently looking for professional Restaurant Servers to join our intimate team and grow with us as we expand our operations. This modern French inspired eatery is looking to redefine fine dining, taking a playful twist on some classic dishes and infusing the cuisine with a splash of the Hudson Valley and Upstate New York. West coast transplant Chef Christopher Smith helms the culinary operations, drawing upon over 2 decades of experience primarily in similar luxury boutique hotel properties and finer dining establishments in the Seattle and greater Portland areas. The Brookmere Hotel and Regent Restaurant & Bar, opened in December 2024, situated just a mile from the Saratoga Racetrack and abutting Saratoga National Golf Course. The 10-acre site, formerly known as Longfellows Hotel, Restaurant, and Conference Center is home for the new 88-room upper-upscale hotel, full-service Restaurant and Bar with seasonal outdoor porch, Spa, Banquet facility with 6,000 sq.ft. of meeting and event space, and private access to Lake Lonely. Bonacio Construction leads the development, partnering with Hay Creek Hotels as managing partners. Hourly pay rate plus tips. Essential Functions: • Greet, direct, seat, and take all orders of food and beverage guests., • Serve guests in accordance with company standards., • Impart to the customer warmth and graciousness, much as you would give a guest in your own home., • Inquire throughout the course of the meal if the food, service, and dining atmosphere are to his/her satisfaction., • Be thoroughly familiar with menu items and related materials., • Clean and maintain all working areas and equipment., • Complete designated side work efficiently and thoroughly., • Assist in resolving any complaints, and communicate disgruntled customers to the appropriate supervisor., • To prepare and present bills to customers for payment using the point of sales system (POS)., • Obtain settlement from customers, either cash, credit or room charge, and settle bills using the POS system., • Practice guest safety and ensure correct billing to room when processing room charges., • Complete all listed opening, side-work, and closing checklists, cleaning checklists, and duties related to shift., • Reconciliation cash, accurately charge credit cards, and make appropriate cash deposits at end of shift., • Practice cleanliness and safety in all dining areas, liquor and wine storage areas., • Understand and communicate daily specials and specialty menus to guests., • Deliver food consistent with expectations of proper timing of food courses., • Assist team members as needed to promote a positive teamwork environment., • Practice conscious knowledge of food allergies and safety, communicate effectively to guests with allergies. Required Experience: • High School diploma or equivalent, • Must feel comfortable with technology. Working knowledge of a Point of Sale system preferred, • 1 year serving experience in a high-volume restaurant, fine dining preferred., • Alcohol service training certificate a plus (will train if needed)., • Ability to work in a constructive, team working environment with a positive, upbeat and customer-focused attitude, • Ability to operate smoothly under pressure and stress, • Flexibility to work nights or mornings, weekends, holidays, and busy seasonal days (i.e. town festivals).
