We have a new opportunity for a full-time Resident Engagement Coordinator for our Independent Living community! This position is full-time, Mon-Fri, from 8:30am-5pm. Basic Qualifications Education/Training/Certifications: High School Diploma/GED required; BS/BA degree preferred Skill(s): Computer-Basic MS Excel and PowerPoint; Intermediate MS Word and Outlook; Basic Print Shop and Adobe Acrobat; Internet Experience: Previous experience in planning, coordinating and implementing group activities required; previous experience with senior citizen population preferred General Responsibilities The Resident Engagement Coordinator is responsible for scheduling of on campus activities, including concerts, presentations, exercise classes and all other daily programming, and off campus trips for Independent Living residents. This position also requires coordination and implementation of activities, events and trips with other departments, company employees and community organizations. The main objective of all general responsibilities is to maintain a diverse and active programming schedule that contributes to the physical, emotional, mental and social well-being of the resident population. Essential Duties • Supports the mission and values of Lutheran Social Ministries of New Jersey, which is: Through the power of the Holy Spirit, and in response to God’s love as revealed in the Gospel, the mission of the Lutheran Social Ministries of New Jersey is to serve those in New Jersey who hurt, are in need, or have limited choices., • Encourages, participates and actively contributes to the achievement of organizational goals., • Complies with organizational policies, procedures and programs., • Participates as a team member by maintaining a positive and collaborative attitude with co-workers and supervisors., • Communicates and interacts with residents and other staff members in a professional and polite manner., • Supervises full-time driver and part-time driver; tasks include work schedule and wage management. Hires and evaluates all transportation staff., • Plans, evaluates, and coordinates activities, programs, classes, special events, and trips for ILU residents., • Coordinates and plans joint activities and events with other staff members from other departments., • Coordinates and plans activities with outside organizations, committees, volunteers and clubs., • Maintains financial records of department expenditures and produce financial reports when needed., • Meets with the Activity Committee on a monthly basis for resident input and feedback about past, present, and future activities., • Creates program flyers and assist in production of monthly newsletter., • Assists residents and non-residents with the arrangement of activities and meetings (room reservation, furniture set-up, flyers, etc.), • Assists residents with acclimation to community and familiarize them with available resources as needed., • Assists full-time and part-time drivers with transportation if necessary., • Operates all Crane’s Mill vehicles in a safe manner in accordance with organizational Driver Safety policies., • Ability to safely assist residents whom may have physical limitations with entering and exiting vehicles., • Completes annual compliance and HIPAA training and exhibits behavior as set forth by the LSMNJ Code of Ethics and Business Integrity in the performance of duties., • Adheres to the Organization’s Policies and Procedures regarding the Compliance Program of the organization and is timely in reporting any possible concerns., • Follows all local, state and federal regulations as they pertain to the position., • Adheres to the Organization’s Policies and Procedures covering Privacy and Security in Compliance with HIPAA regulations, • Other duties as assigned by supervisor, necessary for the efficient operation of the department/facility LSMNJ is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
