Job Description We are hiring for a senior nursing leader with 24/7 accountability for perioperative services, including clinical, operational, and financial performance. Responsible for directing and coordinating patient care, optimizing surgical operations, and leading multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes and departmental efficiency in a fast-paced acute care environment. Key Responsibilities • Provide leadership and oversight of perioperative services, including operating room (OR), post-anesthesia care unit (PACU), same-day surgery, sterile processing, endoscopy, and pre-operative services, • Direct and coordinate nursing care in accordance with established clinical standards and best practices, • Lead initiatives to improve surgical throughput, block utilization, and case volume growth, • Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and cross-functional teams to enhance patient care delivery and operational efficiency, • Drive performance improvement efforts using data, metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs), • Standardize clinical and operational processes, including preference cards and workflow optimization, • Oversee staffing models, reduce reliance on temporary labor, and support recruitment and retention of core staff, • Foster a positive, engaged, and accountable team culture while rebuilding morale and performance, • Partner with physicians and stakeholders to support program growth and manage change effectively, • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, quality metrics, and patient safety initiatives, • Perioperative and surgical services leadership, • Operational efficiency and process improvement, • Data-driven decision-making and KPI management, • Change management and organizational transformation, • Team leadership and staff development, • Physician relationship management, • Clinical quality and patient safety focus Required: • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or ability to obtain within a defined timeframe, • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license, • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, • Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field, • Acute care and operating room (OR) experience, • Base salary range: $157,000 – $220,000, • Full-time position with comprehensive benefits, • Bonus eligible, • Relocation assistance may be available, • Leadership-level role with direct management responsibility
