Job Description Job Title: Procurement & Asset Manager Job Description The Procurement & Asset Manager is a senior, process-oriented leadership role responsible for strategy, oversight, and continuous improvement across all procurement and fleet asset functions within a multi-division organization. Operating across operational divisions that serve public and private utilities, renewable energy developers, and infrastructure clients, this position acts as a strategic oversight layer rather than managing day-to-day purchasing transactions. The role focuses on auditing spend, designing and managing enterprise-wide procurement and fleet databases, identifying cost efficiencies, developing financial models for fleet investment planning, and ensuring consistent application of procurement standards. The successful candidate uses data-driven insights to translate complex information into clear, actionable financial recommendations for senior leadership. Responsibilities • Audit procurement spend across all operational divisions to identify redundancies, inefficiencies, and cost-saving opportunities., • Analyze vendor pricing trends and benchmark them against market rates to ensure the organization receives best value., • Monitor compliance with established procurement policies and procedures across divisions and identify and address gaps., • Review and evaluate existing supplier contracts to ensure terms, pricing, and performance metrics remain competitive., • Generate regular spend reports and executive dashboards for senior leadership, highlighting key trends and recommendations., • Design, build, and maintain a centralized enterprise procurement database that integrates data from all divisions., • Develop data models, KPIs, and analytics frameworks to track spending trends, vendor performance, and process efficiency., • Create standardized reporting templates and procurement dashboards using Excel, business intelligence tools, or ERP platforms., • Leverage data analytics to forecast material and equipment demand across upcoming projects in transmission and distribution, substations, renewables, and pipeline work., • Collaborate with Data Analysts and ERP/IT teams to ensure procurement data integrity, consistency, and system integration., • Oversee an enterprise-wide fleet asset database, including equipment inventory, lifecycle status, utilization rates, and maintenance history., • Develop and manage annual fleet capital budgets and multi-year investment plans aligned with business needs and growth., • Conduct ROI and Total Cost of Ownership analyses to inform decisions on fleet acquisition, disposition, and replacement cycles., • Partner with divisional fleet coordinators to consolidate utilization data and identify under-utilized or redundant assets., • Evaluate lease versus purchase options for major equipment categories, model financial scenarios, and present recommendations to leadership., • Track and report on fleet-related expenditures against budget across all divisions, highlighting variances and improvement opportunities., • Document and refine procurement and fleet management processes to drive standardization and continuous improvement., • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Construction Management, or a related field., • 5+ years of progressive experience in procurement, supply chain, or asset management, preferably in a multi-division or project-based environment., • 3+ years in a management or senior individual contributor role with cross-functional responsibilities., • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, with the ability to build and interpret complex budgets, forecasts, and cost analyses., • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, financial modeling, and data visualization., • Demonstrated experience designing and managing procurement or asset databases., • Experience with forecasting, procurement strategy, and analytical modeling., • Ability to develop and work with data models and KPIs for spend and asset tracking., • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex data clearly to senior leadership., • High proficiency in process documentation and workflow design., • Experience working in construction, utilities, or related infrastructure environments., • Familiarity with project-based operations serving public agencies, utilities, or renewable energy developers., • Experience with business intelligence tools such as Power BI or similar platforms for dashboarding and analytics., • Exposure to or experience with ERP and construction or project management platforms, such as Viewpoint or Procore., • Experience with fleet management systems such as Samsara or Fleetio., • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or similar project management credentials is a plus., • Ability to collaborate effectively with data, finance, operations, and IT teams in a multi-division setting., • Strong organizational skills and a process-oriented mindset focused on continuous improvement. This is an on-site role based in Garden City, where you work in close collaboration with operations, fleet, finance, and IT teams across multiple divisions. The environment is fast-paced and growth-oriented, with the organization actively expanding and refining its profit centers. You will work extensively with Excel, business intelligence tools such as Power BI, ERP platforms, and fleet management systems to manage data and reporting. The role centers on an office-based setting with regular interaction with field and divisional staff to gather data, align on processes, and support operational needs. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Hauppauge, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $130000.00 - $155000.00/yr.
