About the Role: The Behavior Technician plays a critical role in supporting individuals with behavioral challenges by implementing behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). This position focuses on delivering one-on-one therapeutic services to clients, primarily children, to improve social, communication, and adaptive skills. The Behavior Technician collects data on client progress and behaviors, which is essential for ongoing assessment and treatment plan adjustments. This role requires compassionate interaction, patience, and consistency to foster a positive and supportive environment for clients. Ultimately, the Behavior Technician contributes to enhancing the quality of life for individuals by promoting meaningful behavioral improvements and skill development. Minimum Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent., • Completion of a Behavior Technician training program or equivalent experience., • Ability to pass a background check and any required state or local clearances., • Strong communication skills and ability to follow detailed instructions., • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification or willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe., • Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder., • Familiarity with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and techniques., • Additional coursework or training in psychology, education, or related fields., • Implement individualized behavior intervention plans as designed by supervising BCBAs., • Provide direct one-on-one therapy sessions with clients in various settings, including home, school, and clinic environments., • Collect and accurately record data on client behaviors and progress during each session., • Collaborate with supervisors, families, and other professionals to ensure consistency and effectiveness of treatment. The required skills enable the Behavior Technician to effectively implement treatment plans and interact compassionately with clients, ensuring therapeutic goals are met. Strong communication skills are essential for collaborating with supervisors and families, as well as for providing clear instructions and feedback during sessions. Data collection and documentation skills are used daily to track client progress and inform treatment adjustments. Preferred skills, such as RBT certification and familiarity with ABA, enhance the technician's ability to apply evidence-based interventions confidently and accurately. Additionally, flexibility and patience are critical for adapting to client needs and maintaining a positive therapeutic environment.
