Job Details\nDescription\n \n Key Responsibilities: \n\n • Provides leadership and direction to the assigned manufacturing team(s) as a direct manager for the Production employees\n, • Monitors and leads production team activities that ensure achievement of safety, quality, delivery and cost targets\n, • Help to achieve annual Balanced Scorecard (KPI) objectives\n, • Working knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.\n, • Implement and sustain visual management across assigned production lines\n, • Work with Supply Chain and planning department to develop production build schedules\n, • Plans and monitors production operations for schedule attainment and efficiency for the assigned departments\n, • Leads and/or assists with hourly personnel management and problem resolution, consulting with Human Resources as needed \n, • Performs metric tracking, problem solving and continuous improvement activities\n, • Meet, or exceed, all customer requirements including on-time delivery of products\n, • Contribute to optimizing the flow and productivity of the assigned department\n, • Maintain AS9100/J-STD-001/IPC-610/IPC-620/ESD compliance and all other standards/certifications established and required by our customers\n, • Support Customer Service, Engineering and other departments as required\n, • Demonstrate moral standards, ethical compliance, and integrity, as expected by the Company, its customers, suppliers, team members and stakeholders\n, • Adhere to ESCO’s business policies, Environments Health & Safety policies and US export law and controls.\n, • Performs all other duties as required, requested or needed\n\n \n Managerial Responsibilities: \n\n • Manage direct reports’ work assignments and ensure proper workflow\n, • Ensure direct reports are following all company policies and procedures\n, • Be responsible for management changes in HRIS for direct reports\n, • Responsible for the management, leading and coaching of team members defined as direct reports\n, • Conduct annual appraisals with team members, setting objectives to ensure performance standards are met\n, • Conduct regular one to one meeting with team members to discuss workload, progress, training and development needs and address performance issues, involving Human Resources when appropriate\n, • Identify resource requirements and conduct interviews and assessments to ensure effective recruitment and hiring processes\n, • Identify training and development needs for staff and action training requests as required to expand their skills, aligning their needs with the business strategy and regulatory requirements\n, • Encourage the sharing and retention of knowledge and experience within the business through effective mentoring of team members and colleagues\n, • Formulate effective succession plans and review regularly to ensure the skills and knowledge required to fulfil key roles are met through continuous training, development and mentoring\n\n \n Required Skills: \n\n • Proficient knowledge of LEAN manufacturing principles\n, • 10+ years of increasing responsibility and experience in a low volume / high mix production environment\n, • Bachelor’s degree required\n, • LEAN, Six Sigma Blackbelt certified\n, • 8+ years of managing electronic assembly & test including oversight of operator certification and training programs\n, • Excellent oral and written communication skills\n, • Team player to work cross functionally as required\n, • Able to work with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the production floor\n, • Ability to stoop, bend, left up to 30lbs \n, • Periodically may require longer working hours\n\n \n Compensation Information \n Base Salary Range: $120,000 - $140,000 USD (Annually) \n Please note, this is the expected compensation however, ESCO Maritime Solutions considers many factors in determining compensation prior to office, such as: \n Eligibility for benefits begins on the first day of employment to include 401k, PTO, Medical, Dental, Vision, Stock Purchase Program, Life insurance and Disability! \n
