Job DescriptionJob Title: Warehouse Worker Job Description As a Warehouse Worker, you will operate stand-up reach trucks to move raw materials, packaging, and finished goods. You will load and unload trailers, stage materials for production and shipping, and maintain accurate inventory using RF scanners and warehouse management systems. You will be responsible for performing daily equipment inspections and reporting any mechanical issues while following all GMP, HACCP, and OSHA safety protocols. Additionally, you will assist with general warehouse duties including pallet wrapping, labeling, and sanitation and communicate effectively with production, shipping, and quality teams. Responsibilities • Operate stand-up reach trucks to transport raw materials, packaging, and finished goods., • Load and unload trailers and stage materials for production and shipping., • Maintain accurate inventory using RF scanners and warehouse management systems., • Perform daily equipment inspections and report any mechanical issues., • Follow all GMP, HACCP, and OSHA safety protocols., • Assist with general warehouse duties such as pallet wrapping, labeling, and sanitation., • Communicate effectively with production, shipping, and quality teams.Essential Skills, • Minimum 1 year of experience operating stand-up reach trucks., • Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain one., • High school diploma or equivalent., • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in hot/cold conditions., • Strong attention to detail, time management, and safety awareness., • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or holidays as needed.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Experience in a food manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred.Why Work Here? Work Environment The warehouse operates on a fast-paced, deadline-driven schedule to support overnight production and shipping. The hours are from 7am to 3pm, Monday through Friday, with no overtime while on contract. The facility is well-lit with moderate to high noise levels from machinery and forklifts. Temperatures may vary, with some areas cooler (storage) and others warmer (near ovens or production lines). Frequent standing, walking, and operating forklifts are required, along with regular lifting of 40–50 lbs. Personal protective equipment, including steel-toe boots, gloves, and safety vests, is mandatory. The facility adheres to GMP and HACCP food safety protocols, with daily sanitation routines and strict hygiene standards. The team culture is collaborative and supportive, with clear communication between production, shipping, and quality control departments. Supervisors are on-site to provide guidance, assign tasks, and ensure safety compliance. Equipment used includes stand-up reach trucks, RF scanners, pallet jacks, shrink wrap machines, and warehouse management systems, with daily equipment checks and maintenance logs required. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Piscataway, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
