Job DescriptionMaintenance Technician – Mechanical Job Description The Mechanical Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing CNC, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production. This role involves preventive maintenance, diagnostics, equipment installation, documentation, and occasional leadership support. Strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills are essential. Responsibilities • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair CNC, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment., • Conduct preventive maintenance and diagnostics to ensure equipment reliability., • Perform equipment installation and maintain detailed documentation of maintenance activities., • Provide occasional leadership support in maintenance tasks., • Support smooth plant operations by maintaining building and equipment., • Conduct repairs, installations, and preventive maintenance of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems., • Expertise in mechanical and electrical maintenance., • Proficiency in preventive maintenance, blueprint reading, and electrical troubleshooting., • Ability to read and interpret service manuals and drawings., • Strong organizational and communication skills., • Ability to detect defects in equipment and make proper repairs., • High school or GED diploma., • Two plus years of experience in building and maintenance work., • Proficiency in the care and use of tools and equipment used in relevant trades. Maintenance Technician – FacilitiesJob Description The Maintenance Technician – Facilities supports smooth plant operations by performing building, equipment, and systems maintenance, including repairs, installations, and preventive maintenance of facility-related equipment. Responsibilities • Perform general facility maintenance with minimal supervision., • Complete patching, painting, repairs, and replacement work as needed., • Install, inspect, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems., • Assist with facility improvement and maintenance projects., • Maintain and repair pumps, fans, motors, and related components., • Perform preventive maintenance including cleaning, oil changes, and part replacement.Essential Skills, • High school diploma or GED., • Two or more years of building or facility maintenance experience., • Ability to read and interpret manuals, drawings, and diagrams., • Strong organizational and communication skills., • Ability to identify and correct equipment defects.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Experience with HVAC systems and facility electrical work., • Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices. Work Environment This role operates in a manufacturing setting with exposure to heavy equipment, machinery, and related noise levels. The position frequently requires walking, standing, bending, squatting, and continuous movement throughout the shift. The candidate must be capable of lifting 0-50lbs in a proper ergonomic position. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Binghamton, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $28.00/hr.
