Job Description Lehman College’s School for Continuing and Professional Studies (SCPS) is seeking qualified Allied Healthcare Instructors to facilitate in-person and online instruction. Successful candidates will be appointed as a Continuing Education Teacher (CET) eligible to teach courses in Anatomy & Physiology, Patient Care, Clinical Nursing Skills, Phlebotomy, and EKG. SUMMARY New York Edge is looking for a Community School Culture and Climate Associate to assist with establishing a highly visible presence within the school building by supporting the Community School Director in assuming a vital leadership role and holistic approach toward improving academic performance. Responsibilities Specific responsibilities of the Associate Director of Payroll will include: * Processing full-cycle semi-monthly payroll as well as implementing, maintaining, and reviewing payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions, including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions; * Ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations, wage and hour laws and best practices, under the direction of the CFO and in collaboration with the Controller; * Partnering with the Human Resources Department to ensure all employees information is accurately recorded in ADP to accurately process payroll and to ensure payroll deductions and contributions (e.g. health insurance, retirement plans) are applied correctly; * Reviewing quarterly and annual payroll-related tax filings, and conducting regular reconciliations against payroll records; * Serving as a point of contact for employee payroll inquiries, resolving issues and explaining payroll information in a clear, customer-friendly manner; * Coordinating with the Finance team to ensure accurate accounting and reconciliation of all payroll-related expenses in the Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT system. Assist in creating reports for School and departmental leadership to monitor payroll activity; * May be responsible for supervising and mentoring team members, including providing training, direction, and performance feedback; * Developing payroll training materials and provide on-going guidance to school and department administrators; * Supporting various internal and external audits and ensuring timely implementation of proposed recommendations; * Establishing operational protocol and analyses/recommendations of payroll system setups required for new benefits and/or new collective bargaining agreements; * Identifying opportunities for processing improvement and partnering with HR, Finance, IT, and other stakeholders to design and implement enhancements; * Fostering positive relationships with team members and various stakeholders; and * Performing other related duties and related projects as needed and assigned. The occupational therapist works with a caseload of students in K - 5th grade. Clinical services at Quad are provided in a highly collaborative and integrated manner so as to generalize skills for success in natural and nuanced environments. Occupational therapists have the opportunity to receive mentorship from senior clinicians, as well as through our consultative services provided by Special Programs in Occupational Therapy Services (SPOTS), a highly-regarded practice in New York City. School is located on the 4th floor of the building with an elevator. This role requires regular walking to various locations around the school and occasionally traveling to the Upper School campus approximately two blocks away.
