This Opportunity: GISI Ignite is seeking a Senior Manager, Digital Delivery & Innovation to support the delivery of technology-enabled solutions and innovation programs across GISI's family of companies and client portfolio. The Senior Manager will advise design, engineering, and construction management projects on the use of technology to enhance delivery. The role helps internal and external clients define problem statements, evaluate options, and implement impactful solutions across architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) domains for application in infrastructure and mobility, government and society, and the natural world (earth and water). The ideal candidate brings experience and understanding of AEC disciplines, combined with the application technologies such as: design automation, PMIS workflows, BIM/VDC, digital twins, agentic AI, and other emerging technologies. The practitioner will translate real-world workflows into scalable, technology-driven solutions. This person will operate as a seller-doer, operating across strategy and execution. Assignments will span internal operational efficiency initiatives and external client engagements, working closely with GISI Ignite Directors, Operating Companies (OPCOs), clients, and GISI's technical teams to ensure innovation and digital transformation engagements are aligned with business needs and deliver measurable value. Location: This is a full-time position based out of one of GISI's offices in these areas: New York, NY, Arlington, VA, Denver, CO, or Newport Beach, CA, with potential client travel. The Columbia Nano Initiative (CNI) seeks an outstanding candidate to fill one opening for the position of Senior Director of the CNI Labs at the rank of Research Scientist. Reporting to the Scientific Director of the Columbia Nano Initiative (CNI), the Research Scientist will actively participate in multidisciplinary CNI research programs in close collaboration with CNI-affiliated faculty and researchers. The Director of CNI Shared Laboratory Facilities, which include the cleanroom, electron microscopy facilities, the shared materials characterization facilities, and any newly developed facilities as needed will assist principal investigators (PIs) in their research and utilization of shared facilities and equipment, serving as a key strategic partner and subject-matter expert in equipment operation, configuration, capabilities, and maintenance to ensure high-quality research outcomes. The Research Scientist will provide guidance and expertise in various aspects of laboratories operation. Additionally, they will be responsible for the operational and financial management of the laboratories, collaborating closely with the Shared Facilities Committee and the CNI Executive Committee to ensure safe and effective operations, maintain necessary IT systems, and comply with all university and government regulations. The Research Scientist will also oversee modifications to available space as needed for new equipment, working with Columbia Facilities staff and contractors. The Cleared Fuzhou Analytic Linguist position offers $40 per hour, major medical insurance (pending eligibility), 401k retirement account, 1 hour of sick time for every 40 hours worked (or as per local requirements), up to 10 paid vacation days, and 11 paid federal holidays. Primary Functions and Responsibilities: • Monitor: To listen to or read foreign language communications, then subsequently type summaries into the English language., • Transcribe: To render the spoken word of a language into the written form of the same language., • Translate: To render the spoken or written word of one language into the written form of another language., • Interpret: To translate orally either consecutively or simultaneously from source language to target language., • Federal Clearance, • Clear, concise, effective written and spoken communication skills in English, Fuzhou and Mandarin, • Ability to summarize and translate audio and text, including slang and colloquialisms, in a real time manner, • Demonstrate prior interpreting and/or translating experience in a professional or personal setting, • Adequately prioritize tasks while demonstrating attention to detail and organization skills, • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, social media, text message terminology in English, Fuzhou and Mandarin, • Typing abilities to exceed 40 words per minute, • Capable of adapting well under pressure and functioning cohesively in a team environment, • Availability to work a rotating schedule, • Candidates must pass writing, reading, listening, and speaking language tests in English, Fuzhou and Mandarin or provide prior test results as required by contract Physical Demands: These physical demands are representative of the physical requirements necessary for an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the Cleared Fuzhou Analytic Linguist job.
