The Center’s Gender and Family Justice team is seeking a Bilingual Facilitator to facilitate classes that address intimate partner and family violence. The Bilingual Facilitator will teach primarily in the Tactics and Choices class, which facilitates classes for those arrested for Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) charges and who are participating in the Supervised Release Program. Participants are either mandated or encouraged to voluntarily attend this class as part of their supervised release program. The class offers participants an overview of basic principles of power and control dynamics and uses an interactive format to introduce strategies for making healthy choices in intimate relationships. The Bilingual Facilitator will provide this class as part of a larger IPV supervised release track, with the goal of increasing compliance with court mandates and return to court. The Bilingual Facilitator will also train in other IPV and domestic violence groups and classes as the team seeks to expand programming. The Bilingual Facilitator will primarily teach online but will is also required to teach classes in person throughout New York City's five boroughs as the program expands. The class will be offered in several separate groups: Spanish-speaking, male, female, and LGBTQ+ defendants utilizing different curricula. Classes are offered in other languages with an interpreter on an as-needed basis. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Facilitate classes for IPV participants on supervised release (in person and online);, • Communicate with case managers on participant completion;, • Manage data collection for reporting including attendance and participation;, • Participate in peer and group supervision;, • Participate in individual supervision;, • Review, revise, and assist in the development of curricula;, • Provide on-site support and training to supervised release case managers as needed;, • Attend stakeholder meetings as needed;, • Attend and facilitate workshops and conferences as needed;, • Facilitate other IPV groups as needed and requested;, • Must be able to travel to all boroughs and facilitate classes in person as requested, • Perform other administrative and program support functions, as needed; and, • Additional relevant tasks, as needed.Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree or 2- 3 years of group facilitation experience required, preferably with court-involved population. Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is required. Previous experience facilitating restorative justice-based programming, and/or a familiarity with principles of restorative justice, preferred. Compensation: The compensation range for this position is $52,000 - $59,500 and is commensurate with experience. POSITION SUMMARY: Reporting to the Director of Arts & Organizing and working closely with the Associate Executive Director of Programming, the Liberation Program (LP) Coordinator provides daily hands-on leadership and support for the Liberation Program, members and facilitators. The LP Coordinator is a vital link between Directors and the frontline staff of the organization. The LP Coordinator is responsible for managing and ensuring the success of the Liberation Program, and working collectively with other Coordinators and Directors to support the organizations overall programmatic vision. The successful candidate possesses strong people management and organizational skills coupled with an extensive youth development and organizing focused program background. They ensure overall program goals are met while taking time to manage, coach and develop program staff. The LP Coordinator proactively builds internal and external relationships and cultivates a positive supportive growth oriented team environment. The LP Coordinator holds space for youth leaders to emerge as social justice change agents, activists, and community organizers. Position: Assistant Youth Facilitator (Group Worker) Reports To: Assistant Program Director Location(s): Brooklyn, NY What The Assistant Youth Facilitator (Group Worker) Does: • Ensure the safety and security of each program participant by following CAMBA Beacon’s summer camp protocols and procedures including but not limited to procedures and protocols regarding safety, supervision, accident and incident reporting., • Participate in 5 minute meeting (FMM) before the start of program each day as led by assigned Program Leader in order to share information about the plan for the day and the Assistant’s role., • Actively support students in following program guidelines on a daily basis., • Actively support program leader/program specialist in the implementation and documentation of program wide incentive programs with students on a daily basis, and provide follow up on a weekly basis., • Actively supervise students in the hallways, bathrooms and classrooms to ensure a safe environment., • Assist in taking daily student attendance., • Assist in classroom setup before and after program activity., • Distribute, collect, store instructional materials and/or sports equipment/games., • Assist clients, individually or in groups, with summer camp activities to present or to reinforce learning concepts., • Adhere to program polices regarding student arrival and dismissal, snack procedures, transition procedures and trip guidelines., • May assist in the facilitation of a club activity., • May operate learning aids such as film and slide projectors, VCR's, tape recorders, etc., • May prepare requisitions for instructional materials and supplies., • May type and copy instructional materials for distribution., • May confer with family members on progress of clients., • May co-facilitate a club activity., • Must obtain Dept. of Health, Dept. of Education fingerprint clearance; doctor's note certifying good health; proof of negative results from TB test; and State Central Registry (SCR) clearance., • Ability to maintain State Central Registry (SCR) clearance and fingerprint clearance throughout the duration of employment., • Ability to adapt to the culture and environment of a public school CAMBA is an Equal Opportunity Employer. What You Will Do: * Provides individual, group and family therapy for The Dorm clients and family members, as applicable. * Provides life-skills coaching off-site in the community and in clients’ apartments as clinically indicated. * Conducts Bio-Psycho-Social Assessments and comprehensive intakes of all prospective clients. * Maintains accurate and up to date charts that are in compliance with the expectations and standards outlined in The Dorm’s Policy and Procedure manual. * Participates in weekly supervision, group supervision, and co-facilitator supervision as indicated by direct supervisor. * Responsible for at least 25 hours of clinical work per week * Participates in On-Call weekly coverage system on a rotating basis up to four times per year. * Work up to 2 evenings per week What You Need To Qualify: * Master’s degree in social work, counseling or related program in psychology required. * State Licensure in social work or counseling required. * The ideal candidate has at least 1-3 years of related experience in a clinical setting with adolescents or young adults.
