Job Description Job Title: Payroll Assistant Location: New York, NY 10004 Duration: 14 Weeks (Contract) Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM Pay Rate: Up to $28/hour Position Overview "Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Assistant to support payroll processing and related accounting functions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on payroll experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple systems while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing. Key Responsibilities * Process payroll for both hourly and salaried employees * Assist with entering, processing, and paying wage garnishments * Process property payroll transfer reports * Ensure accuracy of employee benefit deductions * Conduct payroll audits to maintain data integrity and compliance * Perform retroactive pay and time calculations as needed * Support leadership with payroll and accounting-related projects * Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation * Work efficiently across multiple payroll and accounting systems Required Qualifications * Minimum of 1 year of payroll or related experience * High School Diploma or GED required * Strong analytical skills, particularly with retroactive pay calculations * Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook * Ability to manage multiple systems and meet strict deadlines Preferred Qualifications * Bachelor’s Degree * Experience with QuickBooks, PayChoice, or Payroll Associates * Prior accounting or payroll support experience For more details contact at or Call / Text at 516-862-1169.
