Job Description Job Summary: Eurofins BioPharma Testing (BPT) has a Calibrations, Certification and Metrology business unit. The Eurofins Calibration, Certification and Metrology business is seeking a Business Unit Manager for the East coast. The Business Unit Manager has responsibility for continuing to build the team in New Jersey and building laboratories and teams in North Carolina and other East coast locations, including ensuring that the laboratories can be brought into ISO 17025 compliance and then leading the growth of the teams. Essential Duties/ Responsibilities: • Continues to build the team in New Jersey. Be directly involved in building the lab in North Carolina and in other locations on the East Coast as they become available, including interviewing and hiring appropriate personnel, ensuring appropriate equipment is purchased, installed and operational in a timely manner and quality systems are deployed and followed. Provides operational leadership and support to both new and existing labs through effective planning, execution, and resource management., • Is involved in merger and acquisition activities including identification of potential acquisitions and diligence of acquisitions., • Ensures continuous development and training of staff., • Ensures that analytical data, laboratory reports, quality documents, and data packages are approved by qualified personnel., • Supports and participates in customer and regulatory audits.Qualifications Education: • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a calibration, metrology or testing laboratory specializing with chromatography analysis, including at least 5 years in a management role., • Hands-on experience working with laboratory instrumentation calibration and/or metrology, particularly with chromatography instrumentation., • Thorough knowledge of quality systems, particularly ISO 17025., • Experience working with a Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)., • Internal contact includes daily contact with all personnel and regular contact with management., • External contact may require infrequent contact with Clients., • Detailed understanding of calibration and metrology of laboratory testing instrumentation, particularly of chromatography systems, balances, temperature- controlled systems, and pipettes., • Excellent verbal and written communication skills., • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills., • Responsive problem solver and action-oriented. The Service Desk Administrator provides technical oversight and guidance to other Service Desk team members and applies specialized knowledge and skills to resolve escalated end user support issues and complex requests. The Service Desk Administrator also helps increase Corsica's overall operational efficiency by minimizing the amount of issues escalated to Corsica's most senior technical resources. Responsibilities The responsibilities for this position include: • Classify and triage escalated incidents, problems, and complex requests., • Troubleshoot and resolve escalated incidents to return service to clients as quickly as possible., • Troubleshoot and resolve problems reported by two or more users as quickly as possible., • Manage the impact, risk, and implementation of complex client change requests., • Follow standard operating procedures as documented in the Knowledge Management System., • Assist in creating and updating knowledge articles to be used by other service desk personnel., • Work with the team and escalate as needed with the assistance of management., • Maintain and update system documentation and service ticket records. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position for five, eight-hour days (40 hours total) per week. A one-hour lunch break is provided.
