Job Description POSITION SUMMARY: RVE is seeking a water / wastewater inspector with experience in the field of water and sewer construction. The ideal candidate should be familiar with gravity sanitary main, sanitary force main, pump station and wastewater treatment plant components and operation. The individual should also be versed in water main installation, water supply distribution systems and the components and operation of water treatment plants. The individual may also inspect storm sewer systems and roadway construction. The candidate should have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in this field. They will provide construction observation and project management services for municipal and county agencies. PRIMARY DUTIES: • Perform constructability and plan reviews prior to construction. Interact with the design engineer with input before the project goes out to bid., • Perform construction management services for projects that consist of water supply and sanitary distribution systems. Including work in water and wastewater plants. Ensure the job site is maintained in a safe, neat, and orderly fashion by the contractor., • Provide inspection of contractors work to ensure that the work is being performed as per plans and specifications and regulatory requirements. Communicate with the project manager daily about the progress on the project. Keep the client informed of the project’s progress., • Attending and running pre-construction & weekly progress meetings with the client and contractor and give input on issues that arise during construction. Follow through with RFIs to maintain the project runs as scheduled and communicate with Engineering Team., • Conduct on-site observations of the work in progress to assist Engineer in determining if the Work is proceeding in accordance with the Contract Documents, both alone and/or as part of a team., • Keep a diary or logbook of all observations and daily activities for ongoing work and provide Engineer with daily reports to include all labor trades and equipment supplied by Contractor., • Review applications for payment with Contractor and confer with Engineer on recommendations for progress payments., • Be knowledgeable of NJDEP procedures and requirements for management of a project., • Perform field testing of materials installed and start-up and acceptance of equipment., • Prepare a final punch list at substantial completion and perform final project review for project closeout., • Construction and building inspectors examine worksites, both alone and as part of a team. Some inspectors climb ladders or crawl in tight spaces. Most work full time during regular business hours. The Assistant Director, Planned Giving will collaborate closely with the Managing Director, Development and Legacy Giving on the growth and administration of BCRF’s Legacy Giving Program. This position will work closely with a dynamic team of development professionals, and experience first-hand the inner workings of a premier nonprofit organization. This role reports directly to the Managing Director, Development & Legacy Giving. This position is based in New York, New York. BCRF currently requires staff to work onsite a minimum of three days per week. Primary Responsibilities Bequest Administration Manage day-to-day administration of pledged future intentions and realized bequests including: * Tracking confirmed and realized bequests in Raiser’s Edge * In collaboration with the Database and Donor Services team, managing data hygiene and reporting * Working with attorneys and executors to ensure realized bequests are fulfilled in a timely manner * Responding to phone and email inquiries from individuals wishing to learn more about leaving BCRF in their estate plans * Preparing acknowledgement letters and listings Marketing and Communications Serve as project manager on print collateral, mailings, and digital content including: * Maintaining updated collateral materials and digital content * Working with vendors on creation of annual mailings * Working closely with Marketing and Communications team to ensure website content is up to date and accurate based on current planned giving trends and tax laws * Managing data for targeted marketing campaigns, including list pull/cleaning and reporting * Collaborating with Marketing and Communications team to produce and send 4-8 eblasts a year * Serving as liaison with FreeWill, including maintaining meeting agendas, managing portal, pulling data reports, and spearheading stewardship efforts to ensure BCRF is maximizing our National Feature partnership Stewardship and Donor Outreach Work closely with Development and Marketing teams to coordinate stewardship and solicitation efforts for legacy donors across the department, including: * Ensure legacy giving donors and prospects are assigned to portfolios and actively cultivated, solicited, and stewarded as appropriate * Reach out to donors who have expressed an interest in making BCRF part of their estate plans * Preparing custom donor correspondence, such as proposals, reports, emails, and research briefings to help secure legacy gifts * Managing stewardship for FreeWill donors, to engage and build loyalty to the organization and inspire current use gifts * Collaborating with Major Gifts to identify and act on opportunities for blended gifts * Working closely with colleagues across the organization to ensure members of the Evelyn H. Lauder Legacy Society are appropriately recorded, thanked, and stewarded * Assume other duties as assigned ABOUT YOU You are detail-oriented, proactive, positive, and a team player. In addition, you have the following qualifications and experience: * A minimum of 8 years of non-profit development experience with at least 3 years of full time planned giving experience * Proficiency in Raiser’s Edge database * Proficiency in Microsoft Office required; knowledge of Adobe, InDesign, Canva and PowerBI preferred * Excellent project management skills with the ability to execute projects from start to finish on time * Superb communication skills including verbal, written, and presentation skills * Experience working with high level donors and external partners (attorneys, financial planners, trustees, executors, and vendors) required * Meticulous attention to detail and excellent proofreading and editing skills * Ability to exercise judgment and handle confidential matters with discretion Travel: May require domestic travel 1-2 times a year. Compensation and Benefits: This is a full-time, exempt role. The salary range for this role is $100,000 - $115,000.
