Job Description Based in Albany, the Epidemiologist will be responsible for developing reports related to the rapid initiation of antiretroviral treatment and will collaborate with colleagues across multiple areas of the AIDS Institute to assess program needs. In this Epidemiologist role you will be expected to support program growth through the evaluation of program objectives. You will assist in identifying populations where newly diagnosed individuals are less likely to start antiretroviral treatment promptly. Additionally, the incumbent will conduct routine analysis of HIV surveillance data to identify areas experiencing increases in new HIV diagnosis. Provide feedback to the Program Manager, Intake Supervisor, and Assistant Director of Program Services as needed. Attend monthly budget meetings alongside Program leadership., • Assist the RW Support Services staff and leadership in maintaining multiple tracking systems in accordance with funder requirements and program policies and procedures., • Run monthly tickler reports of client health indicator information due dates. Assist the RW Support Services staff in obtaining and reporting the information., • Schedule transportation for clients in the absence of the Medical Transportation Facilitator or Program Manager, as needed., • Perform other tasks as assigned. Qualifications: • Associates Degree in Human Services or related field., • Experience with target population preferred., • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel., • Valid unrestricted driver’s license and independent means of transportation to travel to designated sites preferred. Job Description Job Summary: Assist the Accounting Manager and Director of Finance and Administration in maintaining the accounting records and ensuring the fiscal health of the agency. Observe and abide by the HIV Confidentiality Law., • Prepare and process monthly and annual journal entries., • Assist in the monthly closing of the Agency’s financial statements., • Assist in financial reporting and analysis as needed., • Assist the Accounting Manager and Director of Finance and Administration with analyzing accounting procedures and methods and other fiscal related activities., • Prepare Bank Reconciliations for Agency bank accounts., • Prepare and process expense reimbursements through the Agency’s payroll system., • Prepare monthly revenue reconciliations for the Health Home program., • Assist with maintaining the monthly allocations of employees to grant funded programs across the Agency to support and ensure the accuracy of the Agency allocations used as the basis for grant vouchering., • Prepare / Review monthly vouchers for grants and contracts as assigned., • Assist with ensuring that contract spending is for costs appropriate to the work plan and budget., • Assist with coordinating with program staff to maximize the impact of the funds that have been made available by meeting with staff on a monthly basis to review vouchering and spending to date (actual versus budget)., • Assist the Director of Finance and Accounting Manager to ensure that, in compliance with the funder’s policy, all vouchers submitted by the Agency pursuant to the Agency’s Master Contract for each State grant are submitted to the State Agency no later than thirty (30) days after the end date of the period for which reimbursement is claimed., • Assist the Director of Finance and Accounting Manager to ensure that final/close out vouchers are submitted per DOP/AI policy and State of New York Master Contract language and submit them no later than 60 days after the end of the contract period, recognizing that all obligations must be incurred prior to the end date of the contract., • Assist with the preparation of grant budgets and budget modifications for State funded grants and contracts., • Assist the Accounting Manager and Director of Finance and Administration with special projects as requested., • Work with the Accounting Manager and Director of Finance and Administration to ensure a healthy fund balance., • Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Financial Management, and two to five years of experience in a non-profit environment and state funding reimbursement procedures, or, • Associate’s Degree in Accounting or Financial Management, and three to five years of experience in a non-profit environment and state funding reimbursement procedures. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: • Experience with Oracle NetSuite ERP or similar ERP systems., • Experience with ADP or similar payroll systems., • Experience with managing the fiscal aspects of NYS and Federal grant programs., • Able to maintain fiscal and management confidential information., • Proficient with MicroSoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook), • Ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple priorities and work independently., • Strong attention to detail., • Ability to take direction and flexibility to work in a fast paced office., • Ability to interact with people from diverse backgrounds within a climate of mutual respect, inclusion, enrichment, and growth.
